Thumbs up Re: *After The Cleanse*

I know I read this from one of the moderators on this board (was it you, Res?), but I've been eating the celery date banana combo and LOVE it!! I've been using it at work for either a mid morning snack or just my lunch.

I've been trying to eat raw as much as possible and do better w/ it during the day until I get home for dinner. I got Natalia Rose's book The Raw Food Detox Diet and once the craziness at work subsides, I plan on following her eating plan. And we've been having great fun w/ the juicer - I actually juiced celery & a Fuji apple together the other night and even the baby drank some!

Belle: Yes. Someone else embellished though and suggested ground walnuts. I tried it and it was even more perfect! Glad you're enjoying it!

Hi everyone. I am post MC 7 days and did well breaking it and decided to do the Okinawa Diet Plan, because I wasn't ready yet to do the Raw Diet. Then I finally got my 12 Steps to a Raw Diet book (back ordered) and when I started reading it Wed. night, I couldn't put it down. I had no idea what was in store for me and what the Raw Diet was really about and why! I am so convinced now that it is the way to go that I am planning a 2 month Raw Diet experiement. I want to first learn more, go to some support groups and learn to fix some basics, grow grains etc.... It is such a life changing event!!!! I truly believe that my life is in a major transformation and quite divine. I am also nervous and anxious, mostly just learning what to do and how to do it with my circle of people. I would have never in a million years been able to taken the Raw Diet serious if I had not done the MC and would have never made it through the MC if it wasn't for this website. So I am hoping to find the same kind of support for the Raw Life. Not sure it exists here, yet. I hope so. Wish me luck! Franny

    Hi all~
I'm on Day 2 post-cleanse, doing my OJ and looking forward to broth and raw food for another 8 days. (I did a 40 day cleanse). I'm happily committed to starting a raw diet, reading books, (Frannyknight, I feel the same way you do!), but I'm getting such conflicting information, even on reliable sites, about which juicer to buy. I have a food processor and a citrus juicer and a blender, so....do I need a centrifugal pulp ejector or a single or double auger? Do I need a Green Star, a Green Power, an Omega 8005? I'm so confused but I thought I'd ask here because I feel like we're all friends, all in this together. Any advice you can give, any experience you can share about your juicer equipment, would be so welcome. Thanks and peace to all.

I love my Champion juicer. Superior juice, frozen banana ice cream & frozen fruit sorbets, makes "manna bread" from sprouted grains, great nut butters & can purchase a (used to be $60) grain mill appliance for fresh-milled flour or seitan-making. Christine M
    mmmm....craving a carrot-celery-parsley-beet(just a little) juice...my juicer is in Pa...I'm in Montana.

Yea! I am on day 1 post cleanse and I am so happy that I was able to complete it without any cheating. The MC was probably one of the most challanging things I've had to do, but knowing that I was able to accomplish it makes me so much more confident in myself.

I am loving the OJ this morning. I am totally learning to appreciate every sip that I am taking and it is darn GOOOOOOOD!

Thanks to all of you for all your support and encouragement. I wouldn't have been able to get this far without your help!

    Hi Taebogirl,

There is a section under the "Raw Food Lifestyle" called "Vegetable Soup Recipe". Take a look and hopefully this will help you out. Also, try doing a search for "vegetable soup recipe".

Good luck on continuing your journey!
