Luckily I measured out 1/4 cup of dried fruit and put it in a baggie so I can't over do it. I used to think dried mango held my heart - mango you're outta here! Peach is my new main squeeze.

On that note - already eaten today not planned is (will be once it's gone) 1/4 cup dried fruit and 1/2 cup cucumber.

If you are wondering about the measurements - it's not a counting calorie thing or anything like that - it's accountability. I have had more than one post cleanse occasion in the past where suddenly I snap out of it and I don't even know what I've eaten - just that I feel like crap. Taste of this, bite of that - little bit here and there. If I measure it out - I am taking that extra 30 seconds to REALLY pay attention to what I'm about to put in my mouth - and it also makes it stick in my brain a bit more.

    Hope everyone is doing marvy.
Did you dry that peach? It sounds heavenly but peaches are definitely not in season in my neck of the woods.

Several of us had an affair with Mr Mango. The dude was a total 5 timer. Unbelievable but he still has my heart.

Res...sorry to hear about the bread...what a bummer. I know how you feel..I hate to have may heart set on the raw dish and it doesn't rise to my expectations. This time I had the same experience with Ani's black sesame sunflower bread. Although, it tasted pretty good toasted. I was going to try Igor's bread but I'm not too sure now.

On a brighter note...For our super bowl party for the two of us...

I made Matthew Kenney's: chili, guacamole with pineapple (I didn't have a mango), tortilla chips, & salsa fresca, with toffuti sour cream since I didn't have enough raw cashews to make my own. Yummmmmy

I made Cornbleet's almond cookies, too! double yum!

    Have great week!
Oh great. Ani's bread isn't good either? I may do a real bread thing once a month. Pick organic bread and just eat it.

YES! The dried peach was to DIE for - how have I never tried it? They are definately not in season here either (all our peach trees are covered in snow ha ha) but when they ARE in season it's like citrus in Cali - the stuff is given away because there is far more ripe than any family could possibly consume - and when that time comes - my Excalibur is going to earn me back my investment! ha ha.

I found a toona recipe that sounds like a no fail - I am going to make it this morning and if it is tasty I'll post it here. It has zero carrots Res - so rest easy there lol.

I'm sorry for your food fail yesterday. I had a food fail too I'm not yet willing to talk about lol (cause I am still kicking my asp for it.) I am lethargic today also - and up 2 pounds from my last cleanse day - which for most people is normal I know - but I have NEVER gained back weight post cleanse in the first couple weeks. I've always continued to lose. So I'm pretty bent out of shape about that.

I'm going to make all of my lunches for the week today - or plan them anyway. I've decided I can be 100% vegan at this point - but 100% raw isn't going to work. I can't afford to make myself a seperate dinner every night from my family, and I know I'll end up throwing in the towel if I try and have salad every night while they are having vegan delights that I love - that I know are healthy... I think to keep my sanity and eating mostly raw foods I'm going to do breakfast/lunch raw and dinner with my family 3/4 raw and 1/4 whatever cooked meal I make them. Once I get out of the post cleanse I think I am starving danger zone I'll push myself into 100% raw and do the 30 day's I planned. As long as there is one 30 days of pure raw before my next cleanse I don't really care when it is.

Oh yeah - and beer is good for my EVERYTHING Res! Really wanted one yesterday as I was watching them being consumed with chips and fresh quac... but I resisted and thank lemons I did or I'd have been up 3 pounds this morning! ha ha.

Have a good day kids. I'll report back with the toona review later.

Toona was a RAGING success! Recipe has been added to the box.

For lunch I took 1/3 cup of the toona, chopped up more celery & pickles and mixed them in. (I like super chunky tuna) I served it on romaine leaves and make a sandwich with the toona, spouts cucumber & a little avocado. (Nothing is complete till you add avocado.)

SO GOOD I might die. Death by toona. Worth it. Mmmmm.

It looks like something I'd be interested in. Will have to make it when I get home.

So first day back at work post cleanse and I definitely didn't bring enough food. I was attempting to not overdo but I underdood. Live and learn.

I purposely didn't get on the scale this morning because of the cashew cheese and sour cream from yesterday. I didn't eat much - too rich - but I did eat it and I'm concerned I'm up.

I can't wait to get home and eat. I think I'll make Cornbleet's marinara and then get the ingredients for chili. Until Tanya mentioned it I forgot all about how much I love the raw chili.

Today is the first day of my Ease Out... just fresh squeezed OJ and lots of water which is going down well. Ended up losing 13 lbs in 14 days of MC. I am getting ready to start my homemade vegetable broth for tomorrow (it already smells DELICIOUS!!!) and I have lots of fresh fruits to juice for b'fast Looking forward to the new flavors tomorrow will bring Did about an hour of stretching/toning and 3 lb weight work today and I feel good Also, made a list/menu of some great vegetarian meals for next week. It's an exciting time!!

I am so thankful my body is starting to look the way it is supposed to again... I am barely 5'1 and even though 135 (my weight when I started MC) doesn't sound like alot, it is for my frame. My husband has been away at Officer Candidate School for the past 2 weeks and I won't see him for the next 40 days...he doesn't know about the changes I have made. It will be nice to surprise him and incorporate my new healthy cooking/recipes into our family lifestyle!!

    Hey Guys,
Fun reading up on everyone's doings! I too gained a couple or 3 lbs since yesterday. It has to be from the salty stuff I ate so I'm not too worried. It makes me think about how much salt I eat which isn't that much really but it's obviously too much.
I haven't tried any recipes for the recipe box but that toona sounds great. I've been relying on my veggie soup and salads mostly. I made some nice guacamole and a jambalaya with soy sausage for the game yesterday. I didn't care for the soy sausage at all. I'm going to try for gluten free and soy free as much as I can and try to get more into raw foods.
I have not gone back to coffee which is huge for me. I think I'll save it for special occasions instead of abusing it like I was. I've been drinking mate chai and rooibos chai with vanilla almond milk and it's hitting the spot.
Nice to see everyone chiming in....
    See you...

Ok, I was wrong about a couple of things yesterday.

    1.) Igors bread isn't crap.
2.) although disappointed by the mexican meal the problem in #1 is similar in #2.

'The red onion I used yesterday was really bitter and it made both taste worse than they were.
So Igor's bread is actually really good and has a bready consistency to it.

The tostada meal was still really lacking but I was so hungry when I got home I threw it all together (minus the onion) and munched!

So there's a stay of execution on Igor's Bread.

Helloooooooo!!! I have finally arrived. Completed my 30 days.

So happy to taste something different. I made my orange juice today and it was the most delicious thing in the world. One orange and 2 tangelos. While making my soup, I kept testing the broth. It turned out fantastic. I think the only thing I ddint put in there was the kitchen sink. lol Baby carrots, kale, mustard greens, turnip greens, butternut squash, green onions, red peppers and bell peppers, mushrooms, red cabbage, corn, tiny red potatoes, roma tomatos, basil, dill, garlic, ginger, celery and spinach. I can't wait to eat it. As I am typing my stomach is paying me back for sampling before my time.

Well I am going to catch up on everyone's post and look at some recipes. Is anyone else afraid to eat? Don't want to gain back what I lost and don't want to disappoint myself by eating what I shouldn't. I know, time to put mind over matter. Glad to see the gang is all here.
