Oookay Everyone, What's in the fridge, what's in the dehydrator? (remember this game? lol)

    1. Fridge, soaked walnuts & almonds
    2. Grapefruit juice galore, and a fun green juice

    Dehydrator:

    1. Nothing - Yet! MUHAHAHAHA
Have almost all the ingredients for the Blueberry granola, Citrus maple granola, Pizza (new recipe) and Matt's onion bread that he makes into cute little boats to hold delicous concoctions.

I'm gonna be smart this time and load up every tray probably once a week or every two weeks if stuff lasts.

Can't wait to make Ani's stuffed pepper with black pepper cheese.

    Your Turn!

Post cleanse day 2 here. Looks like I lost a total of 20 lbs. which is a nice jump start for me. I'm feeling really great about having completed this cleanse. I did my body a huge favor and I'm grateful for it. I'm also pretty psyched I was able to do it. Not many people can do a long fast like that. I definitely would not have been able to do it without this board. It's the most important tool for me.
I started yesterday with O.J. and got home and chowed my soup, like 3 bowls veggies and all. I know I'm only supposed to have mostly broth but I was ravenous (in my mind) and luckily had no ill effects.
I didn't see anything in either Burroughs or Peter's book about coming off a longer fast more slowly. I have seen some talk on here. I was lucky or ready for those veggies and soup.
This morning I had an orange for breakfast and some raspberry leaf tea and now, at work, I'm having a chai matte latte with soy milk. I could drink this every day. I think Matte has less ill effects than coffee, gonna have to look that one up. Salad for lunch and more soup for dinner.
I picked up some soy mozzarella cheese today at Trader Joe's. I'm gonna try to cut out real cheese as much as possible, I'm like an addict with that stuff.
I signed up an account with epicurious and saved some recipes. I LOVE THAT SITE! I think my friend was telling me about an ap on his iphone that my be the same as the website. It is really cleverly set up. I love the comments. New addiction for me. Can't wait to try the avocado dip I saved.
I hope everyone's doing well today

Day 1 post cleanse: I have discovered that my mental state is totally dependent on my weight. A symbiotic relationship. I'm happier weighing less. So I guess my brain is detoxed too.

Ok, so where is everyone? C'mon now!

Grapefruit juice is, um, okay. I diluted it and have had about 3/4 of a cup. Doing well.

I guess I tripped over you on my way out Res. About the weight. I was thinking this morning how miserable I was weighing more than I would like, clothes feeling tight and uncomfortable, not looking or feeling as good. I though to myself, "remember that when the scale numbers start to climb. This is totally my responsibility and I owe it to myself to feel good.". I need to stay further away from the crappy food that I occasionally indulge in. It needs to happen way less frequently and hopefully not at all. Living with someone who wants to get healthy is a huge help. My significant other just finished the cleanse with me and he is totally absorbed in all the raw food books that my neighbor lent us. She also lent us her very nice mandolin which I'm excited to try. I'm glad to have her around, she's a nutritionist and is pretty knowledgeable about raw food.

What I've learned about soy is that 80 to 90 % of soy is Genetically Modified so I don't want to get too into soy products. I figured I'd try the cheese and if I like it, I'll make the trek to Whole Foods (about an hour) and see if I can get some organic soy cheese. I haven't tried raw milk cheese, have you? I'm trying to get away from the salt and fat mostly not to mention the hormones and antibiotics. Organic cheese is hard to come by around here.

Exactly. I'm like a different person this morning. This is how I want to remain. I'm not a happy overweight person and knowing this will help me to watch myself. As you said, it is OUR responsibility to take care of ourselves and the bad food is just not worth the pain. I'm so glad to hear that you have support!

I'm lactose intolerant but I can have organic cream, go figure. Dr Mercola said lactose intolerant people should be able to drink raw milk. I tried but still end up with huge stomach issues so I just buy it when my son's visit. I can down a lot of almond milk and love it with vanilla.

I read Fit for Life years ago, like 20 years ago, and they kinda got off drinkng glasses of milk but I still put it in coffee, eat ice cream , and cheese. I just read Skinny Bitch and they got me to want to quit dairy altogether. I'm thinking of picking up a copy of the newer Fit for Life. Have you or anyone read it?
