When is your birthday and when is the ex coming?
I think those short fasts will do for now. Anytime away from food is usually a good rest for the system. I'll do the same
30 minutes of cardio should be ok for me

Oh wow, ackee comes from an evergreen. That's very cool. Not usually what one thinks of in terms of fruit!

My birthday is on the 5th and ex arrives on the 9th, staying til the 14th. My acupuncturist advises not to cleanse at the change of season, so I'll probably wait until after the 21st to start. *sigh* Planning to fast this weekend, but may have some work to do that involves lifting boxes. Not a good combo, but we'll see. Hopefully it will work out! lol

I skipped breakfast and lunch today for pure water, my mini water fast I guess Every now and again I am reminded that I haven't had any food yet. Planning to eat when I get home later. I stopped by my mom this morning and asked her to prepare some steamed vegetables for me for later. I will have that along with some kind of protein, like fish

A question here, can I resume taking vitamins now?

Hoping someone will be able to guide me as I am trying to transition into raw food lifestyle. I did by the book 12 Steps to Raw Food and I already love what I am reading so far! I definitely want to make the lifestyle change but I am not sure if I should do another cleanse...

On August 1st , I did the Master Cleanse for 14 days. I was planning on going for 21 days, but I cheated and when I went out on the weekend, I ended up eating. I tried to go back on the cleanse 3 days later, but in another week I was back to eating junk/processed food when I was going out.

Now I still do my SWF in the morning and I have an occasional spicy lemonade here and there, but for the past two weeks, I have been eating out and having lots of junk

My question is, should I just start a new Master Cleanse the beginning of next month and do the 21 days and then slowly work my way into raw food? As you can tell, I do have a junk/processed/cooked food addiction and I would love to be able to curb it!

If I started another Master Cleanse in September, would that be too much cleansing since I did 14 days in August. I read somewhere that you should only do 1 MC every 3-4 months...?

Please advise b/c I desparately want to do raw food and kick my bad food addiction - but I am really struggling! Thanks for reading

Since you completed a somewhat extended 14 days, I would suggest you give your body three to four months to recover before you do another MC.

Persevere with one meal at a time. You are on the right track with seeking out a raw food way of life. A raw food cuisine will also detox your system, just at a slower rate than the MC...Planning is important and will help you stay on track. I would also suggest keeping a food journal to focus your intentions. You may want to start with one green smoothie recipe from the 12 Steps for breakfast each morning. This site has lots of post regarding raw food recipes and books...I too have a few ideas for a transitional diet...If you are interested, send me a private to further discuss alternatives.

You will be successful; It takes time,

    Hey Bridge,

Yes, you can take the vitamins. I take mine separately rather than a multi so I added them back one at a time.

How are things going? I'm still planning to do one of my short water fasts this weekend. Truly, though, I can't wait to do another MC. I feel sooooooooooo good then. lol

    Hi,
I am just getting to check the posts.
Haven't been making any smoothies lately. I have also been drinking juice mix (from concentrate) with my dinner and I feel guilty about it so I am trying to drink more water during the days instead of anything else. Haven't gained anything. But my urge for snacking is sneaking up on me Yeah we need the MC. I have got to get in control though.
Yesterday for dinner, I had baked chicken with 1/2 cup rice and peas, lettuce, carrot, tomato and some green giant 3 bean salad. I made the drink from some fruit punch concentrate and tipped a little rum in it. It was gooood and refreshing. I will have some more when I have my left over dinner this evening
    Later.

Hey Bridge, don't feel bad. I still enjoy a gluten-free beer in the evening.

I did a water fast this weekend. Still having some MS symptoms like tingling in my feet, and usually a fast takes care of that stuff. Have been beating myself up trying to figure out what I'm eating that I shouldn't be. Then I realized it might be stress, which is a huge trigger for MS. Even though I don't feel stressed out about it, I imagine it has to do with ex's arrival.

Thanks Bridge! We had a great weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, we went to the demolition derby and had a blast. Then we went to the county fair today. Two days til the ex arrives. Still don't feel stressed about it, but body is telling me otherwise. CAN'T WAIT to do another MC soon, it will be a good physical AND emotional cleansing.

The other thing is that I'm really falling off the wagon with staying raw all day til dinner. I bought my first loaf of gluten-free bread since June, and I just finished it up after having some every day. Lots of avocado and tomato sandwiches. YUM! Anyways, even though I'm eating healthy, it's not where I want to be or where I was a few weeks ago. Think I'm just going to have to continue this cycle of cleansing, trying to stay more raw, then starting over when I start slipping. Eventually, the changes will stick. lol

    Hi Crystal,
Even though you said you are falling off the raw diet thingie, you are doing pretty good. I haven't made a smoothie in a good while, trying to do the water thing, but by lunch time I am very hungry. Instead of eating a sandwich or a salad (neither of which is available for me to purchase at work), I ended up eating a biscuit Somehow my scale said I dropped another pound on Sunday, 181lbs. That's good considering....I wonder what the doctor's scale would say

My mum and I are on day 7 of our first 10 day master cleanse. It is going wonderfully. Day 10 will be this coming friday so on saturday we are planning to fresh squeeze organic oranges for our orange juice and prepare to make out soup.I just have one question; we are going to a dinner party and we are in charge of bringing the salad. We are planning on making a very light, vegan salad with only a bit of olive oil and vinegar. How terrible would it be if we ate the salad at the dinner party on sunday night? Sunday is only our second day off of the cleanse, and I know on the third day it's okay to have the salad. What do you think? Any feedback would be helpful.
