I finished my 1st Cleanse of the 19th of November...I felt so good and my mind was so clear. I haven't been doing so well going raw, not like I wanted, but I am still trying to make better food choices. Going to start another cleanse in Jan. I would like to go longer than 10 days. Wish me luck.

"still trying to make better food choices"

Aren't we all... Yet it's better to keep trying than not to try at all.

    Anybody here?

I reread Peter's book, and I'm not finding the details I would like about coming off the cleanse. I know the first 2 days and part of the 3rd day is fresh orange juice and fresh grapefruit juice. After that it says vegetable broth or salad. I really need more specifics.... My salad might have spinach, dried cranberries, walnuts, green pepper, onion, carrot and celery with a light dressing or olive oil. I might also add avacado or black beans or brocolli. I'm not sure if the fat in avocado is good in a first meal or if the beans and brocolli would cause gas.

I did read if you're not sure, take a small amount and wait an hour for adverse reactions.

I have a blender and can make green smoothies (banana, spinach or chard, flax seed, frozen strawberries and blueberries, almonds, a date or 2 and water. At what point could I have one of these?

If the answer is already here someplace and you know what to search on or how to find it, please let me know.

    Thanks! MC1D8 and planning ahead!

I - shouldn't - be - here - today! detox city. Did you check the "Breaking the Fast" thread? Well my dear, this is straight from Burroughs book

HOW TO BREAK THE LEMONADE DIET
Coming off the lemonade diet properly is highly important— please follow the directions very carefully.
After living in a semi-tropical and tropical climate for many years, I find that people have increasingly
turned to a raw fruit, nut, and vegetable diet. Following is the schedule for people who normally follow
    such a natural vegetarian diet:

FIRST AND SECOND DAY AFTER DIET:
Several 8 oz. Glasses of fresh orange juice as desired during the day. The orange juice prepares the
digestive system to properly digest and assimilate regular food. Drink it slowly. If there has been any
digestive difficulty prior to or during the change over, extra water may be taken with the orange
    juice.

    THIRD DAY:
Orange juice in the morning. Raw fruit for lunch. Fruit or raw vegetable salad at night. You are now
    ready to eat normally.

Thanks, Res! Hope you feel better.

I guess I'll try squeezing my orange/grapefruit juice the first day, blending whole oranges the 2nd day and maybe just eating an orange toward evening on the 2nd day.

I'm really excited about getting off and back to real food!

Hi, Gourd4me and any others! We're almost at the promised land of eating healthy and delicious foods! Today is Day 10 for me, too!! WooHoo!! Isn't it great to have gotten this far? I had so many doubts when I started and even at times during the cleanse, but kept pressing on. Go us!
For the rest of January, I'm planning to eat fruits, veggies and whole grains. Then, in Feb, add in fish and chicken. What are your plans, Gourd4me?

Thumbs up Re: *After The Cleanse*

It was so great to come to this thread and find the info I was needing!
Thank you SO MUCH, Res!! Hope you've been able to move on to Sunvalley from detox city!
Kinda wish I could continue on like some others just to see what benefits there are. But think my family is waiting for me to join them at the supper table. They have been very supportive.

Sheila - so this thread is beginning to gain momentum. It gets pretty busy when everyone starts breaking the fast. There's a LOT of great info in this thread and also the forum. Congratulations on completing your goal!!

I keep forgetting to post this. I'm pretty sure I got this from Peter's Newsletter and omgosh I'm in love.

    *Your favorite apple
*Nut butter, peanut, almond, cashew (organic)
    *Sea Salt

Slice an apple into thin rings. Smear nut butter on top, sprinkle sea salt.

I usually eat fruit room temp but I LOVE this cold. You get the juicy crunch of the apple, the salty and the yummy fat. It fills me up for hours.
