Its really quite nice to be eating again.I find myself craving better food and also being satisfied with healthy snacks. I think a candybar would be far too sweet even if I did find myself wanting one.
I am on day 3 post my 2nd MC & although i had the oj&water 1st and 1/2 of the 2nd when i made the soup i felt pretty filled up but good so today i experimented with some more solid foods- ie: breakfast - baked flourless sprouted toast with organic pumpkin, rice flour&egg whites, lunch- lettuce rolls with guacamole then dinner was raw cashews, grapes and gotu( i think thats what they are called) berries- i am now not feeling so good just filled up - i have a feeling i got a little carried away & from reading some of the other posts thru out the months i can see this isn't hard to do- so tomorrow is another day and i will start with a green smoothie to get back ona more raw food track - i am determined to at least get to 50% raw by my next cleanse in feb '08.
i want to especially thankyou res for continuing to support&suggest in your great style- it is so appreciated by people like me who need some guidance as i find my way. CitrusB

I did a 7 day fast in June and have been drinking the lemonade for breakfast daily since. I thought that I saw this recommended and now I can't find it. Is this alright or will I jjust drink myself into Diabetes?
Thanks
Jaays,
I believe Burrows does recommend including the LA as breakfast. Realistically, it has no more sugar in it that a really bad bowl of cereal (it probably has less!!) I would say go for it!
Question for moderators out there...
I found a recipe for minestrone soup in the early posts of the recipe box and was going to make that as my ending fast soup (without the pasta in my serving). The recipe calls for chix broth, which I was going to sub with organic low sodium veggie broth. Will that be ok? Thanks!

I on my second post cleanse day and taking it slow with juices and little else. It was my husbands birthday yesterday and I made the terrible mistake of eating the smallest slice of cake and off to the bathroom I went-Ugggh!!!!!
I have a question out there for all you raw foodists. I am contemplating buying a juicer, but after browsing many raw food cookbooks they keep referring to the champion juicer and also the vitamix blender in preparing many of their recepies What is the difference? and which one would I get the most use out of in attempting a raw food lifestyle? I would appreciate any and all suggestions as I really want to purchase one of them.
Many Thanks,
Caligirl
The minestrone soup here in LV! Even though I can't have it yet, I'm glad that my dh & bro-in-law enjoyed it. I may have to watch them to make sure that there's some left for me!! g'night!

Morning Lemonheads -
I have a couple questions for you lovely Rawbies!
I am trying to get all of my ducks (carrots) in a row before
I end my cleanse. I'm on day 19, and can tell my time is
growing near, but have no set date for "the end".
Since it's getting close, and I don't want to be unprepared
for my new raw lifestyle I've started filling my Amazon.com
shopping cart with the books and supplies I am going to need.
The only thing I am getting hung up on is the dehydrator.
I've read many of you say Excalibur is hands down the way
to go so that is what I am going to buy, however, there are
a few options I'd like to talk about before I make such a large
purchase.
First - 5 tray or 9 tray?
It seems silly and my gut reaction is to buy the 9 tray since it is
only about 1/4 the cost to almost double the size... but maybe
I would simply never use all 9 trays and it would be a waste.
For the record I have a family of 4, and my kids are very healthy
eaters so they would definately be eating the dehydrator stuff.
Opinions?
Second - Teflex Sheets?
I've seen the name while reading the boards and in a few uncook
books but I still don't know exactly what they are, or if I need them.
Comments?
You are all amazing and have already been very helpful in my Raw
world planning. Thanks for your time!
