...advice for anyone NOT overweight or even possibly underweight doing the MC diet...
Im doing the MC because id like to cleanse my body of toxins. But im actually a bit worried because i do NOT want to lose weight because im thin enough as it is. (Id even actually like to gain weight if i could, and i hope that having my body cleansed of toxins and build up would help me to do this later on). Anyone else in a similar boat as I, not wanting to necessarily lose weight on the diet? If so, what measures are you taking?....just adding more of the maple syrup? more cups of lemonade? etc.
Any tips or advice from ANYONE with some knowledge, background, or general info is greatly appreciated.

Taken straight out of Burroughs book:
For those who are overweight, less maple syrup may be taken. For those underweight, more maple
syrup may be taken. For those who are underweight and worried about losing more weight,
REMEMBER, the only things you can possible lose are mucus; waste, and disease. Healthy tissue will
not be eliminated. Many people who need to gain weight actually do so near the end of the diet period.
Never vary the amount of lemon juice per glass. About six glasses of lemonade a day is enough for
those wishing to reduce. Extra water may be taken as desired.
Healthy things grow, Growing things change, Real growth is measureable.

If it helps any, my 17 year old son is very underweight and we are both on day 12!! We are hoping to be able to afford maple syrup until his constant headache goes away. His headache is elevated again today so we are hoping he is cleansing and it will soon go away. We figure that he can't lose anything but toxins being on this cleanse. He has lost some weight, but it's better to get rid of toxins than maintain "unheathy" weight. Take heart, you are not alone.

Ask your doctor. They don't lie about it. In fact, they are brutally honest. LOL Remember, muscle weighs more than fat! And my doctor told me that there is really no such thing as your ideal weight. It only matters if your healthy and not obese.
Re: ...advice for anyone NOT overweight or even possibly underweight doing the MC die
Hi,
Am new here. Was about 130 pounds. Went down to about 106 pounds in a few months without red meat, and not much nuts, seeds, etc. either. Very little fish as well. Seems like an extreme way to eat, no? If I went for a year, like mentioned in a master cleanse book I saw (do not know the author's name), I wonder what I would look like. My bones became thinner, as well. Do you think I did something too extreme? (I am 5'5".) So, I looked and saw a post here that without meat (maybe specifically red meat), things can go bad, hair loss, and it seems a lot worse things I imagine, if one would continue w/o the iron for a long time (say a year or two). I would appreciate it if Peter (the "leader" of this website) could comment about this protein issue, as he has worked with so many people. I have added fish, nuts, peanuts, and even red meat once or twice over past few weeks, and have gained back about 7 pounds. That's it for now.

I have the same problem (being underweight). I did the MC as I wanted to feel better, cleanse etc. and thought I would put on healthy weight after getting rid of mucous etc. Didn't happen, I've asked and nobody has offered any suggestions. I felt better and I have been eating plenty of protein and lots of fruit and vege and nuts etc. and have even lost a bit more over the past 6 months. I would just like something to cover my bones! Does anyone have any ideas?
