I just finished a 9 day cleanse and DID NOT follow the "getting back on solid food" routine at all, and boy am I paying for it! My worry in resuming regular meals was nausea, going by what I read here, and that was no problem, but I never considered how constipated I may be. Everything that I ate in 2 days just sat in my gut. OUCH! I drank the Senna tea twice, and I had to do the SWF 3 times, morning, nite, and morning again, before things finally got "going", so to speak. Now, on the 3rd day of eating again, I feel gross, thick, too full, etc, with every meal. I've also started in eating habits that I didn't have BEFORE the cleanse, such as sweets, over eating, eating too late.
I decided tonite that I will just drink lemonade for dinner (I had made too much and have leftovers), and possibly for breakfasts for the next couple days, with just a salad or veggies for lunches and snacks. The lemonade actually tasted SO good tonite, better than the food I craved so badly while I was cleansing!
So my question is, is there any problem with drinking the lemonade in place of certain meals, and how do I transition back to regular food without needing to do the SWF every day to be "regular"?
Also, I intend on doing another 10 day in a month or so. I felt great towards the end and would have kept going had it not been July 4th. :/ I've read here that it is safe to do this several times a year. Anything I should know in regards to the frequency of cleansing?
Thanks!
