Got a question.... I know the main purpose of the cleanse is not weight loss, but while reading all of the posts on here I have noticed that a lot of people lose a substantial amount of weight (around a pound a day) while others say they lose little to no weight or even gain a little.
I would have thought pretty much everyone would lose some weight (if they had any to lose), just from the very low number of calories they were consuming during the cleanse.
So, why do you think that is? Is it just that our bodies react differently to the cleanse? Or is there something that the people losing weight are doing differently?
As for myself.... I am doing the cleanse to clean out all the old "bad stuff", as a kind-of jump start to eating better, and less, to hopefully lose a few pounds and feel better overall. I usually lose weight pretty easily but haven't really lost any on the cleanse (this is my day, and I have done the lower amount of maple syrup recommended for weight loss from day 1.
I almost feel like I am retaining water weight from this which is not something I usually have an issue with. I'm just wondering if there is anything else I should do to make sure I am losing weight while cleansing. (I have followed the cleanse perfectly so far, with the exception of not using the cayenne on a couple of days because I just can hardly stand it no matter how I take it!) Maybe I should drink more water, but I don't know if that would help, I feel like I'm drinking so much already!
Any suggestions that have worked for anyone else?
