Questions before starting cleanse

Hello,

After reviewig some information I have decided to start the cleanse this Friday but I haven't received the book yet so I have a few questions.... Will this effect medications that I take? I use birth control pills and allegra(allergy medicine) obviously if necessary I can stop the allergy pills but I don't want to give up the use of my birth control pills.

How do yo respond to people who think it's "crazy" to do this cleanse? I'm worried I'll be judged so I've planned to do the cleanse while I'm on a mini vacation so only two days during the cleanse will I be at work but I"m not sure how to respond to others criticism. Any advice??

Does this cleanse produce a lot of stomach discomfort?? I have irritable bowel syndrome so I'm familiar with a lot of stomach pain and i'm worried that somehow the cleanse may make it worse since my stomach is sensitive. Anybody else have IBS??

Also, is anyone planning on starting the cleanse this friday/saturday?? I'd love to have a cleansing buddy for support!!!

Welcome aboard. Try posting this in the "What day are you on and how are you doing" thread to get a quicker answer. Read through the thread because many of the questions that you have and that will come up are answered there.

Regarding the Pill, I haven't looked through this thread but I typed into the Search feature, "Medications" and this one might be what you need, "The pill and the cleanse". Just click on the link. I hope this helps.

Hi, I'm also planning on starting this Saturday. I have everything I need except for the ceyenne pepper, which I'm shopping for this week. I'm nervous, but think it will be a good experience. We can be MC buddies!

Yeah I'd love to be mc buddies. I just got my book in the mail today, I was nervouse I wouldn't get it in time to start this weekend. I really want to read through it well before I start. Have you tried this before??? This is my first time but I personally know two people who have done it and they loved the results. Not much time to write now but I'll keep in touch!

I can certainly use all the support I can get so yes I'll be here to support you!! I'm just starting out committing to 10 days and then I'll reevaluate and decide if I want to go any further this time.

Hi!

Very smart asking for an mc buddy. I'm doing the mc with a friend at work and it's been great to have the support and funny stories.

the first day was really hard for me but im on day 2 now and its not that bad. Im not even that hungry...yet....

I've been doing the tea at night and flush in the morning and the first day was fine with no discomfort (maybe dry hands from washing them so much after going) but this morning it hurt really bad. Everyone reacts differently...but my flush was florescent. I wasn't going to do the flush today and just do the senna tea but after I was in pain in the bathroom for 20 minutes, I went straight to my saltwater to make sure it all comes out.

A little growse I know, but I hope that helps. =)

I haven't ordered the book, but have read everything online I can find. I guess I should go ahead and order it though. I bought my lemons today and cayenne pepper, so I am ready to go. I've been eating only fruits and veggies this week to try and prepare. I'm just hoping the hunger's not too bad.

After reading the book, the only thing I found that wasn't online was that you can occasionally drink mint tea during the cleanse for a different taste and to help with the bad breath that may develop during the cleanse.

I'm going to the store today to buy the salt and tea.
