    Default I Made It To 14 Days!!!!

    This was my second time doing the cleanse and I feel great. Last time I only lasted 8 days, I was feeling really sick and weak and had to stop. That was in November 2005. This time I lasted 14 days and I feel great. I had very no problems, detox symptoms were tolerable and had lots of energy. I continued my workouts 5 days a week, however I cut the time from 3 hours to 2-21/2 hours. This included at least 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour of weight training. I couldn't believe how energic I was. I have really learned the strong grip that food has on us mentally. I realized I wanted to eat just because something smelled or looked good; not because I needed to eat for nourishment. Once I accepted that aspect of my thinking, I was able to control my desire for foods (especially ones that are not healthy). That made it alot easier to follow the program so easily. I had changed the way I ate for the last since 2003 and have lost 65 pounds. ( I gained 80 pounds after having both knees replaced in 2000 and 2002). During the holidays last year, I just went buck wild and ate my famous sweet potato pie everyday for 2 months and gained back 20 pounds. I have now lost almost half of that through this cleanse and I feel amazing. If anyone is pondering whether to do it or not, just think of how wonderful and healthy you will feel when you are finished. Bragging rights don't hurt either. I plan to do it again in 4-5 months for 28 days. Today is my last day and I am so looking forward to some vegetable soup. Thank you to all who have posted here. Alot of your shared experiences have helped me. Hopefully, I will be able to return the favor to someone else.

    Congratulations dollface. Today is day 14 for me too and it's nice to find someone who started the same day as me. You were SOOO right when you said that we eat because food smells and looks good, even when we're not hungry. I am also an emotional eater and would eat whenever I was stressed or upset. I am hoping to change my eating habits as well when I get off this.
    I am not finished yet. My tongue isn't pink yet, and I'm aiming for 20 days, so I feel that I can knock these last 6 days out with no problem. Besides, I want to stay on this thing until I stop craving junk and start craving veggies!!!

    Thank you so much for our response. Congratulations to you also. I know you will wisk through those last 6 days. I was the same way, eating when I was upset or something. Do you ever notice how good it tastes when you eat for that reason. That is not fair. I am going to go for 28 days probably in October or November. Maybe we could do again together and keep in touch for motivation. How is your energy level? Are you working out at the same time? Keep up the good work.

    LOL. Is that why french fries tasted so good? Cause I was pissed off? lol.
    My energy level is the best it's ever been -- I no longer have a need to take a midday nap and I exercise at least 6 times a week. My only problem from this was a terrible skin rash which makes me want to quit every day, but when I look in the mirror, I just can't!!!
    Yes, I will look for you in the future. I would like to try this again in August, but the fall sounds good too. That's when I'll be stressed, so this may be just what I need to keep me balanced.

    That is amazing. I got a terrible rash on my face also. It started around my mouth and then when straight up the side of my face and down my neck. I also got it on my elbows. I thought I had lyprosy or something. It only lasted like two days. It freaked me out. I got some hydrocortizone and that cleared it up in about a day. I was scared to go out in public. I started with whole grapefruits today coming off the fast. I only had the pulp and juice. I only had a little discomfort that is not really worth mentioning. I still feel great. I didn't really feel hungry today either. I know you are only supposed to do orange juice the first day of coming off, but I hate orange juice. I read someones post that said grapefruit juice was ok also. Tonight I had veggie soup and ate some of the veggies. I did start with the broth to feel it out. So far no problems. Keep up the good job. Those cravings will leave soon. I would do again in August, but that is my big 5-0 birthday. I will be celebrating alot! Well fall it is and this time 28 days, cool.
