I probably have to take it easy because I'm rather overweight. I lost 25lbs after my last cleanse (215 down to 190, most of it during the "breaking the fast" period, possibly from the probiotics), but I didn't eat too well afterwards and probably gained some of it back. I'm still probably near 200. My scale said 170-something, but I think it's broken... I only have the minimum 6 lemonades a day. I generally don't want anymore. Not to mention maple syrup is expensive so I probably can't afford to have 8-10.
    MC1 (2008?) - 19 days. MC2 (August/September 2009) - 16 days. MC3 (04/25/10) - 30 days. MC4 (08/08/10) - 25 days. MC5 (01/23/11) - Day 2.

Your son can safely use the tea morning and night. I know how doctors can be about the cleanse but it would be best to consult a doctor before using the swf if you have concerns. None of us are licensed health care professionals.

10 days. Is that too soon? I'm not highly toxic at all, but I've been very stressed and feeling very anxious and sluggish internally so I decided to help myself

I am one of those people that needs to take it easy. I didn't realize this at first and started a way too aggressive detox that left me feeling awful. It's ben 10 days since I started it. I have elevated levels of led in my liver that I'm trying to detox out. I've had almost daily migraines for 2 years and have found some relief since discovering I have hypothyroidism and a hormone imbalance that I've been treating with bioidentical hormones (which are natural). However, I have yet to do anything for the led and I am continuing to have 4 to 5 migraines a week. I'm starting grad school at the beginning of Sept. and I really need to be feeling better; that's why I started this aggressive detox which proved to be too much for my body. I am now in the stages of trying to modify it and have been feeling better. I have more energy and am feeling very positive however, I'm still getting migraines and I'm extremely bloated. I've actually been gaining weight and can't fit into any of my pants even though I haven't been eating much for the past 10 days. My diet has consisted of mostly fresh fruit and veggies, and rice products. My doctor thinks this is too aggressive and that eating only these foods is causing the bloating. Does anyone know if this is a common occurance? What foods should I avoid to stop the bloating? And what foods should I be adding into the diet? What is a less aggressive way to do this detox since I have a lot of toxins in my body. Thanks for the help!

Best to take it easy .........I too am taking it easy as I am so toxic at the moment so doing a 21 day immune system before I start my detox (if you want more details I can let you have them, just ask me)...I am looking to cut back inflamatory reaction in my body right now. Tried to start a 10 day MC at the begining of this month but the drugs from the emmergency surgery to my hand is really causing such bad reaction all over the body right now and the pain is horrendous. I personally wouldnt modify the MC in any way.......drink lots of water (half your body weight in fluid ounces), have salads, fruit and veggies for a while. bloating can be caused by having fruit after other foods when your body is toxic I have found.....best to eat fruit and drink fruit smoothies in the morning before lunch or any other foods while you are like this.....also get some slippery elm powder (its not expensive at all) and mix that up in a glass of water and have another glass afterwards..........that really does help no end). I hope this has helped or given you some support. All the best for your next MC...might see you in here soon.

Here are indicators that you might need to take it easy:
    1. Seriously overweight - The body stores toxins in fat cells when it runs out of room in the liver. Serious overweight indicates there may be lots of toxins and waste to eliminate.
    2. Multiple-year history of medical drugs - Antibiotics every few years for infections are probably not much to worry about. Sleeping pills every night for ten years is another situation. If you are on, or have had, heavy psych drugs, chemotherapy, etc. you should definitely check with your health professional.
    3. Allergic to many things - Alternative medicine equates allergies with toxic reactions. If you are only allergic to bananas, that's probably not too serious. If you are allergic to 15 things, you need to take it easy.

i'm sure your getting tired of what i am about to ask but bare with me... i will start with a little background first..

i am about 50 lbs overweight. i have a bad spine.. meaning throw some deteriated discs, stenosis and a bad si joint in the mix and you got me. i used to be addicted to vicodin. i was on them for 3 years. it wasn't crazy, i was taking 5, sometimes 6 a day. i decided one day to quit, ON MY OWN. i was miserable for a week. flu like symptoms, crazy legs and not in the least bit hungry and of course tired. i drank a lot of water and crystal light and ate a lot of fruit during that week. i took benedryl and that helped also. anyway, i haven't had one in over a year. when i am in pain i take a tylenol or naproxen. that is rarely though. i wait until it is unbareable pain. however
i do take a prescription sleeping pill every night. i have been on it for almost a year.
and of course, as i said i am about 40-50 lbs overweight.
i have a gym in my basement also.

i am wanting to do this cleanse as a starting point.... i haven't worked out in my gym for the simple fact, i know my back is going to go spastic and i am going to want to take something for it.
also, i don't eat healthy but i don't eat a lot of junk. i do however drink 2 monster energy drinks and 2 dr. peppers a day. at night a glass of milk. thats it. period.

my point being.... yay!! i'm finally there. ha!!
i am wanting to do this cleanse as a starting point. i know and hope that i will lose weight. at the same time, i will be getting rid of all the toxins and getting away from my soda and junk foods.
after the cleanse i plan to eat healthier and work out.

now after reading all my splendid words, should i do the master cleanse? is there something else i should do before hand? and do you think my "plan" will work for me?

thanks so much for reading through.
    =)

I just wonder if there really are people who are allergy to 15 things. I am allergy to just 2; dust and pollen and already ruins my life. What life can the people who have 15 allergies have?
