Default Master Cleanse and Crohn's Disease

So after a wonderful weekend away in Santa Barbara for wine tasting and relaxation, the topic of cleansing came up (I was very constipated and bloated the whole trip). We're beginning the cleanse tomorrow morning, and taking our Smooth move tea tonight. As for the crohn's, I'm currently in semi-flare up mode, but not taking any medications or consulting with a GI doctor as a result of some insurance problems. I'm not overly concerned since this cleanse is supposed to actually help remove toxins and disease. I did wonder a few things, though.

    So my questions are:

Has anyone here done the Master Cleanse while dealing with Crohn's?

If so, did you have any extraordinary symptoms?

Did it affect your crohn's symptoms for better or worse?

    What were the greatest challenges?

How did you feel at the end, was it worth it?

    Any other insights....

Thanks in advance for your help!

I just wanted to post here - don't know if either of these two are still reading the board, but for others who may be...

I have Crohn's Disease - was diagnosed last year. I decided not to take the path my doctor recommended, which was 9 giant pills a day, and instead was going to forge my own path in a more natural way.

I did my first MC about 9 months ago - 11 days on the cleanse. In MY experience (and PLEASE do not take this as medical advice as it is not!), the cleanse really helped my symptoms and I felt so much better for months afterward. The symptoms I experienced DURING the cleanse were no worse than regular Crohn's issues, if not better. If I had kept up with healthy eating, I'm sure I wouldn't be back where I'm at now - which is feeling crummy again, and the Crohns has been worse.

I'm starting up my second MC now (I'm on Day 2) and so far so good for me. I'd done research and couldn't find anything that said MC wouldn't be advisable for those with this condition, so I went for it. So far so good!
