Hi, I am new to this site. I am on day 7 of my Master Cleanse. I didn't realize I would be needing a surgery when I started, but here it is. I can't put it off. I knew I had a lump in my breast, and that was part of the reason I went on the cleanse. The doctor's were taking their sweet time getting around to me and I thought I would have plenty of time. As it is, the surgery is scheduled for day 9 of my cleanse. I guess my question is, I'd better wean off right? Is there a faster way for me to do that so I can start including more protien? Please answer soon. I need to know right away. I've loved the Master Cleanse so far, and I'm really disappointed I'll have to stop right before the best cleansing happens.

Closet I have no scientific proof of anything - only my gut feelings that if I were in your shoes I would continue. I can make arguments against my opinion,
I can see reasons to wean, but at the same time I'd want to be in the very most ready state for my surgery, so I would keep going. -IF- it were me.

I suggest that if you undergone surgeries or related stuff, you must consult your personal physician about taking up MC. If he or she gives you the go signal, then go. It's the best way or safest way I could think of. Hope this helps.

Recently I met with an accident and doctor suggested me that I should not consume MC supplement or program. It is dangerous to health. In some MC it contains additives which causes harm to your body. So avoid MC as much as you can if you have recovered from any kind of surgery.

I totally agree on that. I actually have a friend who just undergone an operation and I should advise her not to undergo any cleansing diet whatsoever in order to heal fast.

Well i think while recovering from a surgery, your body is struggling to heal the wounds. Taking MC during that would only put extra burden of detoxing as well as healing. If you've had deep wounds from surgery then it's best to take proper nutrients and help your body to speed up the healing process then you can do MC a few weeks later
