How quick after breaking the fast can you have popcorn? (just plain salted)
    I'm dying for some!

Then tonight was my first big splurge, my 'beer and a burger' night, and I barely ate half my turkey burger, replaced the fries that came with the burger with coleslaw which I hardly touched...and I was STUFFED (and a little buzzed, LOL!). I did manage to drink a beer and a half. I still felt great though, and came home and took the dog on a fast walk and then worked out for 40 minutes.

It's so wonderful how my energy level stays high throughout the day when I eat smaller, lighter meals.

I have learned a few things from this cleanse, for sure, aside from the physical benefits.

    1 - I have willpower!

2 - I already know how to eat well - partly from healthier periods of my life, and partly because my body tells me what to do if I just stop chewing and listen for a second.

3 - Stuffing my face with comfort food has never made me feel good and it never will.

Some really basic stuff, but it sure feels great to (re)learn it!!
I fully agree with everything you said. it sounds like this has been the beginning of an even brighter future. kudos to you.

    Hi Laura,

You can of course have anything you want whenever you like. No food police here.

As far as the guidelines, they pretty much have you eating regularly by the fourth day after you stop cleansing.

I can tell you from personal experience, though, that grains can be really, really hard to deal with right after a cleanse! And I suspect popcorn kernels would be even more so. (I've never tried it, so I can't speak from personal experience there.)

If you're "dying" for it, it's probably a craving, not something that your body truly needs or even wants. So go easy (which may be very hard to do if you're dying for it), because you may regret it!

I am terrified to gain any of the weight back.
Are there any tried and true ways of heading that off.
Because of my job inthe military I will be eating in the field for about three weeks after the cleanse. I will be able to take things to the field for food but have no access to refrigeration and the items will get hot occasionally. I transport Alkaline water and take wheat grass but what else can I do. I am in the field for 6 days at a time with a one day break for 3 weeks.

    Welcome, Marie.

Please know that you will gain some weight back after a cleanse. Just your colon filling up again naturally will add 3-5 pounds for most people.

Please look around the site. There's lots here about the best ways to maintain our success after a cleanse. One of the best is a whole thread:

    http://www.therawfoodsite.com/forum/...light=kira%27s

How much of it you can realistically put into action given your circumstances is another issue entirely. You should do a lot of reading here and take whichever suggestions seem most achievable to you.

arrrghh, I am missing the cleanse!

Today is day 6 post cleanse, and I am not feeling well, at all. I ate fine today, lots of fruits and veggies, and about 3 hours ago my stomach started to kill and I can't get it to go away. I did work out pretty hard today, I wonder if that has something to do with it?

In any case, I am going through cleanse withdrawal. I felt so great, and tolerated it so well, I really do feel like going back on. I won't, because I know it's not good to yo-yo cleanse, but I already can't wait for my next. I am planning to do one between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and lasting that entire time (about a month). Talk about a true test to will power!

I am interested in information on how often a fast can be done - what are the minimums between fasts that one should observe - and why?

Yesterday was even worse!! I had my first migraine ever. I was in bed from 6 am to 7 pm yesterday I can only assume it was something I ate, because I am mucous free, whatever toxins were in it is what gave me the migraine?
