mrsk - don't worry. there are recipes all over the board. a whole thread in the raw food lifestyles forum, appropriatedly called "vegetable soup recipes", some in the lemonheads recipe box and some in the general help for newbies thread. and you can just google "vegetable soup recipe" and you'll come up with another million recipes and you can do a search on the board if you can't find those threads i mentioned.

Day 3, post 21-day cleanse. Still drinking the oj, albeit diluted, and tons of water. I had my first solid elimination this morning, which was really quite bizarre, considering all I've had for the past 24 days is liquid. It wasn't much, but it was definitely past the "butt pee" stage. Could it really be just from the oj? Weird.

In any case, I'm doing oj for 1/2 the day tomorrow and then making the veggie soup in the afternoon. I did my shopping and I am ready! The hunger has come back and my system is definitely "awake" again, but I'm stickin' with my plan and continuing to be very purposeful with how I end this cleanse.

Best good wishes to all! Happy re-entry to the world of Food!

Today is day 2 post MC. I was suppose to go 21 days but only went 17 because I have to travel this weekend and next week and didn't want to break the fast while traveling (no place to make soup). Anyway, I feel good.... it was nice not to have to get up so early to do swf

I had grapefruit juice and oj yesterday and was feeling so tired of citrus I had a glass of organic vegetable broth for dinner and had no problem with it. I think I will do the same today. I can't wait to go shopping tonight and buy the soup ingredients. I am also going to buy the one thing I have thought about during the entire MC... vegetarian stuffed cabbage. Funny what you end up desiring (it wasn't a craving but, it was what I decided was my first solid food after soup)

I feel much better than I did when I started. The "sludgy" feeling in my body and mind is gone, my skin, hair, and nails are greatly improved, I lost 9 lbs and 1 inch in bust waist and hips (each, not combined); but, most of all I broke my relationship with bad eating habits. Certainly I won't be perfect go forward but I know I will be more conscientious of my food intake.

Anyway, thanks to all for your support and encouragement along the way. I'll check back in a day or 2. If my schedule allows for another MC, I plan to be back in August.

    Hello hello!

This is my 1 day off the MC

I miss it already, I wanted to go longer, but too many BBQ's coming up. Granted I will not be able to participate as much, but I want to be free of having the choice if I want a bite or not. ANYWAYS, the reason I'm on here is because I wanted to clear something up.

Is is all day OJ for the first day? and is it 8 glasses of 8oz of OJ?

Can someone let me know, truly appreciate it.

It's all the OJ you want--but only fresh squeezed, not bottled.

And you will probably want more than 8 glasses. When you start the OJ, hunger often comes back quickly. I water mine down immediately post-cleanse because it's just too intense, but you should have plenty of oranges on hand so you don't run out.

    Congratulations on finishing your cleanse!

I have just completed my first cleanse and stayed on for 15 days.
During that time I felt tremendous energy, clarity, and good will.
I am now on my 4th day after and had only juices, broth and veggies
until today when I had some raw food entrees.
the problem is i am feeling exhaused - no energy and just wiped out.
it is a great disappointment since i felt so terrific on the cleanse.
    what's going on?
also, my tongue did not clear (not did i expect it to) on the 15 days.
in fact, at the end, it was pretty disgusting yellowish brown and a bad
taste. i still have such a bad taste and it only the tip has cleared.
    is that expected?
one more question, i am conerned that i have not had any bowel movement
since i stopped cleanse 4 days ago- should i do a sww tomorrow morning?
Thanks so much for the help. I came across this forum "by accident" and
it has been such a wonderful resource for the Cleanse and raw food.

Day 2 post MC (10 days)
I'm switching from the "main" thread now that I'm done with the MC.
I had freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and OJ during the day yesterday and a bowl of soup broth late, late night. I was fine, but I continued with OJ today and in the afternoon I had more soup (this time with some purred veggies). I will have the same thing for dinner. Tomorrow, probably, a green salad for lunch and maybe a take-out from the local raw foods restaurant for dinner (I wish I could just eat there for the next week or two, but the place is expensive).
Surprisingly, I had my first solid elimination this afternoon (even before I ate the pureed soup).
I went for a run today. It felt good to have the energy to do it.
Mentally, I'm still where I was when I was doing the MC. I feel like I have a new awareness and I hope it sticks.
    P.S.
I noticed that my teeth hurt when I brush them. I think my gum might have receded while I was on MC. I wonder if anyone experienced this. Fortunately, I have a toothpaste just for that.

My teeth and gums also are sore - what toothpaste do you use? I'm also afraid it's receeding gums...

After first cleanse of 15 days, i am now having problems with 2 of my teeth -
seems like gums receded and roots exposed. I was at the dentist just
prior to cleanse and did not have any problems. Anyone else have
    this experience?
    thanks
