Yup, now I understand.
Don't feel bad. I've been there myself going right into eating solid food after a long cleanse 'cuz it tasted so good. Even though it was only raw food, it made me really nauseous.

Hello,
Today is my eleventh day of fast and started in on the grapefruit juice. Everything was fine this morning, but now I have gas and bloating, even a little headache. What can I do? what am I doing incorrect? Please help.
Thinking of trying cucumber/celery/carrot juice. alot more water. and/or I made a vege broth maybe some of that. What do you think?
On page 27, Burroughs says, "If, after eating is resumed, distress or gas occurs, it is suggested that the lemonade diet be continued for several more days until the system is ready for food."
If you don't have several more days, try laxative tea in the evening and the swf in the morning for a couple days with the juice and then salad and keep us posted.

Hello. I'm on Day 7 today and planning to break the fast in a day or so. (I feel good and want to get back to eating healthy food.) I've been reading Burroughs' recommendations and will follow those.
I'm happy with the weight I've shed during the fast and am hoping to keep some of it off.
I'm wondering: is the lemonade drink a safe and healthy thing to continue drinking from time to time as part of an going diet/health program?
It so effectively eliminates my hunger and leaves me feeling good that is seems like a good way to control hunger or occasionally replace a meal.
Thanks,
kxf
Absolutely!
Burroughs recommends it on top of page 27 and on page 35 as one of the breakfast suggestions.

Hi Peter,
On the first day after your fast, do you do the salt water flush to get rid of the lemonade and waste from the day before? Or do you just start in with the orange juice?
Timshel, I am wondering the same thing. I would think so, as the the lemonade is the agitator and and the SWF is the "rinse", that you would need to rinse out.
Burroughs doesn't require it as it is technically not the cleanse, but a return to eating. However, he says you can do the salt water flush "as often as needed." (Always on an empty stomach!)
My wife and I occasionally do the swf after an evening eating out with friends.

Hello to all and Peter. Peter I have a couple of questions. I'm currently on Day 10 and plan to continue, taking it 1 day at a time. But anticipating eating much more raw food (after drooling over Marlene's recipes), I was wondering when you say raw vegies, fruits, nuts & seeds, does that mean ALL raw vegies, fruits, nuts & seeds? Are there any to avoid? The other question is when you and Marlene occasionally go out and eat a meal and you SWF the next day, do you do the laxative tea the night of the meal?
Thank you in advance for your response. I have and continue to gain so much from this wonderful board and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you put into it. I too eagerly anticpate Marlene's cookbook![]()
