    Kris,

So sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. I don't have any advice for you. This is my day 7 and I was considering ending today but you may have helped me decide to keep going. I thought you only did all orange juice the first day and then started adding soup, etc. on the second day.

I will check back later to see how you are doing.

Hi! This is my second time to do a 10-day master cleanse. I started last January and thought it would be nice to do each January. I would like to at least remain gluten and dairy free for a couple of weeks after the fast so as to give myself a break and start the year with a healthy diet.

I have to confess - both times that I have done this I skipped the precleanse and went cold-turkey. I eat a pretty healthy diet anyway, but I do drink black tea in the mornings. The only side effect from skipping that was a headache the evening of the first day until the evening of the second day. After that it was gone. I find the 10 days hard. I have three kids and a husband snacking in front of me, cooking, and running around like crazy. I can't attest to bursts of energy or a general feeling of well-being. In fact, at work today, I practically drooled at a plate of fried pickles

I have a big function with work this Saturday. I am considering cheating on the post-cleanse in the evening. Last year I followed the post-cleanse to a T. I had only OJ day 11 and made homemade rice and veggies soup the next (tasted like heaven on a spoon). This year I think I might have OJ all day until evening and then have fresh foods in moderation that are meat, gluten, and dairy-free. Has anyone tried this? I don't mean to cheat, but it is a really big event and I've been so good all week.

    Thanks for support.

Skipping breakfast is a typical way of people who are experiencing obesity but unfortunately, it's usually not a effective technique. Your human body (or more likely, your brain) desires to be refueled a few periods each day. So it is necessary.

I was thinking of trying the juice for half day and trying to incorporate some sort of food that late afternoon/evening. Something really simple...any suggestions? I know this isn't following the book, but at this point, I don't have many options and definitely don't want to end my cleanse early.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

    Hi everyone,

This is my first time doing the Master Cleanse and I am already on day 4 (hanging in there ) and I would like to go up to ten days, then do the oranje juice on the 11th day and then actually just do juices and smoothies for days 12-14. Has anybody done this before? Is it ok to do something like that? I am thinking about green smoothies so more vegetables than fruits of course.

Please let me know your thoughts, happy cleansing!

    Hi there,

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to incorporate solid foods a little quicker than recommended but from what I have read, you have to listen to your own body and be able to understand that you may get sick from going back to solid foods too quickly. So I would say do it, but start small and try not to succumb to any cravings.

    I hope this helps.

I have some questions about breaking the cleanse. Even though I have done the cleanse before I didn't break it properly. I went from orange juice to eating an orange to eating a huge chinese takeaway all within a few hours. After 40+ days on the cleanse this time around I realize I need to take it seriously. Is breaking the cleanse hard to do properly? Should I wait until I have two days off work in a row to do it? Is it okay to keep drinking the lemonade whilst breaking the cleanse? Thanks to anyone who replies.
