    Hi everyone,
I was on the MC for 21 days - yep, I did it! I was disappointed because I was looking for that pink tongue, more energy, spiritual awakening of some kind, but none of that happen. But wait, I broke the fast the next day caught a cold. Following the program drank OJ and the 3rd day veggie soup and then raw salad, etc. Because I had a cold the soup was good. I don't know what happen after that but I looked into the mirror to see part of my tongue was pink - wow. No craving for sweets - I even tried to eat some candy and found myself spitting it out. My plate has more raw veggies than cooked it almost like if I'm not eating raw veggies I don't have a complete meal.

I don't understand why I didn't have the same experience as others, but I have seen improvements and that is what the MC is all about. Right? I will do this again.

Thanks everyone for your support. See you all for Round 2

Default Re: Breaking the fast - Nutritional Yeast Flakes?? Please read asap

I can't seem to start a new thread yet, so I'm replying to this one. I have a very important question. My husband and I are just coming off of the cleanse (we've done it before several times), but this time my husband put Nutritional Yeast Flakes in the soup that we will be having. Is this a problem?

If in doubt, follow the book. I have no idea what nutritional yeast flakes are, but they sound scary.

I would recommend eating raw vegan for two weeks after the cleanse. That's how I maintained my 30lb weight loss after cleansing for six weeks. I understand not everyone can do that though.

    Currently on day 24.
Looking at 40. Perhaps a bit more?

Anyway, reading about breaking the fast am interested in the probiotics. I looked them up at my health store and they are in the region of £28.00
I've seen probiotics on ebay with good feedback and many sales for more like £5.

Is the high price for the health food ones justified, or recommended.
Have already spent more then I thought I would on the syrup and organic lemons.

    Thanks Lemon heads!
    Feedback appreciated.

I use the "Daily-Dophilus" from the MC website shop because they have a 2 capsules in the morning and a 2 at night probiotic with vitamins as well...............I always use them after my MC and they have always worked better than any others I have tried. But any really good probotic is expensive out there in the Health Shops.

    Cool Re: Breaking the fast

    Day 30

    Hello lemon folks,
Is it ok to replace the oranges with grapes while on the ease out. As the first food dream I had was of grapes! ( followed by carrots )

You are easing in so that you don't experience problems with your tummy and all things plumbing. The skins on the grapes may give you trouble.
I used a combination of oranges and grapefruit the first day and a half. Going to fast can give you belly ache and cramps, sometimes nausea.

I picked up a good probiotic at the health food store for about $19 for the bottle. There is enough for a few cleanses in it as I use kefir daily anyway. I just do the probiotics for a week to 10 days to get things going. My homemade kefir does the trick the rest of the time...

Ok, I am on the second day of the breaking the fast.

I really didn't have much trouble with that. I had the oranges, and broth with very little rice. I also tried my hand at some unsalted sunflower seeds as I was craving those the whole cleanse. Then in the evening I had some blended chicken soup. It felt a bit heavy but that was all there was in the house other than childrens cereals stuff. I never felt sick but I did have a very slight pain when I was full. It only took a cup of the soup to make me full.

So I reckon I survived the Cleanse and the Breaking of the fast.

Hmmmmm. now what do I do?

I just looked it up, seems to be like the little milk type drinks.
There's google guide to make it yourself or places to order it.

    eg: http://www.nourishkefir.co.uk/
    works out £2.40 a bottle in a case of 10 +£6 post.
Hmmm so still looking at around £30.
Probiotics in the health store are around £28, i just wondered if you need to pay that or if the cheaper non healthfood store probiotics for around £6 do the job.
