    Hi there,

    I am on day 4.
I was wondering.. I absolutely adore freshly made carrot juice. Do you think there would be a problem substituting this instead of the oj or grapefruit juice?

    Thanks

curious, how does one know when one is "clean" and "finished" with the cleanse? i'm now on day 17 and my energy level is fine except the senna is making the BM painful.

any guidance on this would be much appreciated.

    thanks!

Youhave to look at the coating that forms on your tongue. That is a good indicator of where you are in the detox. When you are detoxing, you will develop a white coating on your tongue. It looks almost fuzzy. Gradually, throughout the cleanse, it will lift, and your tongue will turn a nice clear healthy pink. When you see a clear tongue, you've done a good job of detoxing.

I'd do fruit juice for at least the first half of the first day and then try about 4 oz. of fresh carrot juice, which requires more digestion than fruit juice. If that sits well on your stomach for the next couple hours, try another 6 or 8 oz. of carrot juice.

    Default New to this

    Good Morning everyone
I am new to the MC, this is my very first time and after reading many replies on this site I am very excited to embark on this life altering journey.
Unlike many of you, I do not have a 'healthy' diet, :-[
I do excercise, but continue to eat all those foods we 'crave'.
I decided to start the MC because my diet IS changing: I am staying away from fast food, milk ( I am lactose intolerant), and 'cravings'.
I am 22 and would like to start a healthier life now, I feel the earlier the better.

I would like advice on breaking the fast: what do I do. I am not used to eating striclty raw foods, but I am willing to try anything in order to improve my health and my lifestyle. I have read that freshly squeezed orange juice is good,
what about bottled organic orange juice, or any other type of organic juice?

then what? what should I eat after the first couple of days after the fast.
I would really appreciate anyone's advice.

    blessings

    m.r.

On the first day after fast, I felt very weak, in fact almost passed out. I had played tennis and just barely made it home to the bathroom. I made the soup and had 2 cups in the evening. I don't know what to do today, second day off fast.
Also, I've been eating lowcarb for several years, which is supposed to be so bad for my blood type (A.) Now I want to do the blood type diet but can't recocile no tomatoes and adding pineapple and carrots. Any suggestions?
I had registered a few days ago, but get an error message when I enter name and password.

    Hi Susan,

The Master Cleanse appears to lower blood pressure for some people (perhaps all, but I don't know that for sure) and that can make one feel light-headed or faint occasionally when one stands up quickly. This feeling has passed for all the people I know.

For the second day after the fast, you should be eating fruits or lemonade in the morning and the homemade vegetable soup with salads made from your choice of vegetables for dinner.

I'm not familiar with the blood type diet, but any fresh, raw vegetables and fruits would be wonderful. You might want to eat salads with kalamata olives and pumpkin or sunflower seeds or almonds.

The body appears to need four things in the way of food: greens (salads, etc.) for protein, sweets (raisins, dates, or maple syrup), oil (olives, avocados, or olive oil), and sea salt or sea vegetables (sea weed) for trace elements. The oil and sweets seem to be linked as when I eat one (steak or olive oil) it seems to trigger a desire for the other (dessert or raisins). Usually, I'm on the healthy side of that choice.

    Hope this helps.

I am going to go only 10 days but I wanted to know what you thought about the salt water cleanse. am I to continue to do this on the two days transitioning back to raw foods or do you stop that also and what about the tea at night?

Burroughs makes no mention of doing the SWF or the tea when you break your fast. I omit them unless I just want to do some more, but it's not part of the regimen.
