does the juice you drank the first couple days have to be freshly juiced? It can't be store bought? Also dose Campbell's Chicken Noodle work as the soup we can eat?

I am coming to the end of my first MC and I have to say - I REALLY miss food!! I don't think my MC has been as good as other people's - I'm the one in four that is still hungry. I have followed all the rules, I read both the Glickman and Burroughs book every other day. And I don't think it's cravings - one of the things Peter says is if you want a cheeseburger it's a craving, if you want a salad, it's hunger. I don't eat vegetables typically and I am craving carrot sticks and artichokes, and even broccoli - oh my!

So, I was planning to go the full 10 days and now I'm here at day 8 and didn't experience the uphoria that most people do. I'm still very hungry, a bit cranky b/c I keep smelling food, and I've become anti-social. So, I think it is time to call it to an end - I'm just miserable...

I finished my third cleanse last Monday. Like you Sasha, I was miserable. I couldn't figure it out because I did great the first two times I finished the cleanse. Before, I had more energy and wasn't even interested in eating regular food. This time has been very different. I experienced detox the first few days and the last few days (went to 13 days then weaned off of the cleanse as directed). Before, I have been able to lose another half of a pound a day by drinking orange juice for breakfast, soup for lunch and salad for dinner for another week, then slowly adding animal proteins. This time has been awful. I have been eating so much food. Not necessarily foods that are bad for me, but huge quantities of food. I have actually gained four pounds back! I am also constipated even though I am drinking a lot of water and eating primarily fiber rich whole foods like fruits and vegetables. I think that the difference for me during this cleanse is that I really didn't work out through the process and have even less of a desire to exercise now.
I am really scared to gain the weight back. I will exercise to keep it off, but what do I eat?

HI! I am planning to start the cleanse tomorrow... Does it make a difference if I prepare the lemonade the night before (e.g. 10pm then bring it to work the next day) to be consumed at lunch (the latest)..

Hi McCrocks - you may what to switch over to the "What day are you on" thread. And please read the newbie thread carefully.

You want to squeeze the lemons as close to when you are drinking them as possible. The juice breaks down and you won't get the benefit if you squeeze the night before. I will mix the syrup and water the night before and add the lemon juice just before leaving home. And I only make enough to drink during the work day. When I get home I make fresh lemonade for the rest of the evening.

And add the cayenne one glass at a time. The longer it sits in the juice, the hotter it gets.

    Hope this helps!

    Unhappy ruined

Hi, yesterday was my 11th day (first day off Master Cleanse) and I not only do I feel terrible about myself, but feel like all the effort and willpower and energy I put into making this a reality was ruined.

I've had emotional eating problems for about 6 years now. First it started as me being really restrictive, I became anorexic and almost physically ruined my body and then about 2 years ago took a complete 180 and became your cookie cutter binge eater where I've been having problems until today.

I got on the Master Cleanser wanting to change my life, and no matter how bad I felt during it, knew I was doing it for a purpose and to start life anew. Anyways, first day off the cleanse yesterday, I started in the AM with a probiotic pill and than a few hours later had some diluted orange juice.

I went to work (Jamba Juice), squeezed myself some Wheatgrass and felt good. I sampled a little bit of a smoothie I missed after I poured it for a customer (dairy free of course), and continued about my day. A little later I put some frozen mango in a cup, let it thaw a little bit and munched on that.

Things began to collapse after that. Towards the end of work I made myself a 16oz Orange/Carrot juice blend and downed that really really fast. After work I went to my favorite Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant and told myself I would only have the small soup (vegetables, broth, and tofu). Of course, I had the soup and brown rice, than proceeded to order the Veggie bowl (lots of rice, steamed vegetables, fried tofu). I covered everything with lots of soy sauce and Srachi (really good cayenne sauce) and ate everything. Lets say after this I felt uncomfortably full and already felt depressed and angry at myself.

I made it back to work to go pick up my stuff I left there, there were bagels there so I had a bagel, even though I was HURTING at this point. Finally I got home, depressed and sad. Low and behold, made it toward the pantry, had a 100 Calorie pack of Goldfish crackers, two 100 calorie packs of Chips ahoy bars, a pack of Oreo cookies, and almost an entire medium sized jug of Jif peanut butter.

At this point I'm in total pain and disgusted with myself, and feel that I ruined every benefit this Master Cleanser provided me. My nose is stuffed up again (was before the master cleanse, completely became clear and I could breathe freely during and right after the Master Cleanse, and back to stuffed up again now). My stomach is in terrible pain still and I just woke up.

I'm sorry for this being so long I'm just extremely upset with myself, looking in the mirror I see my fat self again (I've never been fat I have terrible body image issues) and don't know what to do.

Did I ruin everything good I did for myself on this Master Cleanse? What should I do? Is anyone in the same boat. Thank you to this board for being there as a resource, but being that this is my first post, I really need the support and help now more than ever.

    Hi CWgirl!
I'm not sure how much you want to spend but one of the best juicers (though it's commonly known as a blender) is the Vita-Mix Blender. It is costly but from everyone who has it, it's worth every dime. It also makes HOT fresh soup in minutes!!
My sis and I got our mom the Jack LaLenne Power Juicer about 2 years ago and it's also very good. About 1/2 the price of the Vita-mix blender. Hope that helps.

I really don't think you've ruined anything. If it was me I'd just fast until my stomache was completely empty and I'd eliminated all the food from the binge and then just start eating again. There's always a second chance

Question Re: Breaking the fast -- very important

Once i break the fast i have decided i will cut out milk and meat, mostly beucase cow's milk makes me bloat and nauseated and its just not good for me. However, i do eat greek strained plain yogurt which doenst give me any problems... does yogurt produce mucus like milk and cheese? since it has live active cultures in it?

Some people who can't tolerate most dairy can sometimes tolerate yogurt. You'll probably have to experiment to see where you fall.

After your cleanse, introduce all food slowly and one at a time if possible, especially if you're wondering if something works for you or not. It isn't easy to go slowly, but it sure does make a difference in how you feel (and how much information you get about your body).

    Have fun!
