Just adding my 2 cents. Started the master cleanse two days ago, just the lemonade and no saltwater flush cause it seems gross. I generally eat pretty healthy, and don't eat red meat, meat in general or much dairy.
The last thing I ate before I started the cleanse was brown rice. Yesterday I had a bowel movement and there were little chunks of brown rice shaped poo. No surprise.
This morning went to the bathroom and pooped what pretty much looked like thin and thick worms covered in brown red mucous (not blood, maybe red from the cayenne pepper?) I the last thing I ate was rice, and I already passed the rice, it's been two days since I've eaten, so what the heck is this? It doesn't look like poop, it looks like something smaller, with a thicker texture, covered in mucous. I would take a picture but that seems gross.
I've taken psyllium husks before, and both the psyllium and bentonite clay bulk up... a lot! If you want to see how much, just mix up a glass and leave it on the counter. Come back in an hour and you'll have a big glass of goo. (FYI psyllium and metamucil are the same thing, look at the label) I think there are a lot of hoaxes out there. I'm not paying for a colon cleanse any time soon, cause I do believe that people are probably pooping out what they are ingesting. I pretty much consider myself a skeptic.
But I am wondering:
If I haven't eaten, I'm not taking psyllium, and already passed the last thing I ate, what the heck are those gross wormy looking things? It wasn't big and disgusting like most of the pictures that come up when you google "mucoid plaque" they were pretty small in comparison. Not sure either way, but there's sumpthin up in them thar hills...
I had the same experience with the MC. i broke the 10 day fast/lemonade diet with only OJ all day. Tonight i passed the mucoid plaque. It was orange but def mucous. I have not had any solids in 11 days. I felt fantastic today too. I can tell you that it happens.
I have done the benonite and psyllium cleanses and have had the rubbery stools but this was different.
