I am on day -1 of MC2. That means I start tomorrow, blessed day!
Most of my preparation so far has consisted in eating all of the interesting food in my house so there won't be anything left to turn my resolve come fasting-time.
I completed my first 10-day fast this February 10-19 and the benefits were numerous. To recount them- and to remind myself why I'm doing this again:
-the obvious- my weight dropped from a rather chubby-for-me 130 to a just about perfect 114(I'm 5'4" with a small frame)
-the subtle- mental clarity and an ability to focus and concentrate my often spacey head.
-the vain- I really liked the way my skin looked after. My pores haven't been that tiny since i was a little child.
-the practical- during the time I was fasting I got a whole lot done. Not having food as an option for recreation reminded me what my real hobbies are.
All in all it was a great experience, and quite restorative.
So why am I starting again, exactly 2 months later?....further detoxing....further clarification....a few pounds creeped back on me, and psycho pms with insane cravings that I've faith a nice detox will help clear and cure.
So here we go....props to everyone on the path....if i don't post tomorrow, send out a search party, I'm probably eyeing the brisket and baby back ribs at the Whole Foods...but no this is my choice..and so we embark...set sail on the lemony seas...
