Default Benefits for 40 days vs. 20 days?

    Hi all.

I am wondering what benefits there is to our bodies to do a master cleanse for 40 days vs. 20 days? What happens in the additional 20 days? Anything? I am a first timer at this and am presently finishing day 14 and am planning to go to 40 days. I feel great and have lost weight and my arthritis in my spine feels much better. But, I haven't been able to find any answers to why people go longer and what the benefits are to be had in doing so. Any feedback would be appreciated. Many thanks
    Hilary

    Welcome.... Welcome.... Welcome

Everyone is different.... some need the extra days to detox more... I know I myself can tell if I have done enough on any particular cleanse...
Here are some Question/Answers that may help you...

How many days should I follow the diet?
It is suggested that your follow the diet for a
minimum of 10 days or more...

What is the optimal number of days?
Most followers find a 7 to 12 days enough to
    obtain full benefits.

How often can I do the diet?
Three to four times a year will do wonders to keep
    the body healthy and fit.

I'm overweight, can I do the diet more often?
Yes, you may break the diet in stages, such as
doing 10-12 days, following with a month of
drinking the lemonade during the day, and finishing
with a light evening meal, and then going back to a
full diet for another 10-12 days.

best of luck to all of you on your journey...
If you always do what you have always done.. you will always get what you have always gotten !!!!!!

Your tongue should indicate when you are done (when your tongue is pink and clear. ) It gets a white coating while cleansing. Some people need to cleanse longer just depending what's in their bodies.

Have things changed? Did Mr. Glickman change the minimum requirement of 10 days for the Master Cleanse? It's confusing to read "it's suggested a minimum of 10 days"..."Most followers find 7 to 12 days enough to obtain full benefits." I wasn't aware that the required minimum had changed. We really need to get the information correct here. Mr. Glickman if you read this, would you please comment? Is the 10 days only a suggested time now? Â*The difference between a "suggested" 10 days and Â*a " required" 10 days is quite significant. Â*Burroughs said that the 10 day minimum was scientifically based after years of research and experimentation. Â*If there is new information supporting a "suggested" minimum of 10 days, that is something important enough to be included in one of your newsletters so everyone is alerted. Sorry if I missed some important information about this, but I didn't know any new discovery changed the MasterCleanse as far as the 10 day "required/mandatory" minimum. As far as the maximum goes, I guess it depends on the individual, and the goal that person is trying to accomplish. Burroughs mentions one elderly woman who was wheelchair bound who cleansed for 101 days and on day 101 she got up and walked. But I don't think he allows for any leeway with the minimum. As to my best knowledge at this point, the 10 day minimum is an absolute requirement. Please correct me if I have missed some new information. I have been away from the BB for several weeks and I thought this site was still for Burrough's MasterCleanse. Thank you.

I'm also interested in learning member experiences on the longer cleanses. Mine are usually 21 days, but I'm thinking I may continue on this cleanse. Would anyone who has (or is now doing) a longer cleanse please post your expeiences- symptoms, feelings, benefits, ect.? Thanks!
