    Default DeTox Tea?????  PETER

Well I know that the MC is a great way to detox the entire body. I also know that it is permitted to drink a cup of mint tea sometime during the day.

My question is....Is it ok to drink a Detox Tea expecially designed for the liver and kidneys while on the MC???

Would this help promote a greater detox???

I would love an answer to this question too. I myself do drink Detox tea by Yogi Tea and find it makes me pee a lot so I guess it's cleaning me out. I doing the master cleanse but have not been able to stop eating whole food so I'm currently eating a lot of raw food to prepare my body to do the master cleanse for 10 days or 7 with 3 days coming off the fast and hope this is enough to cleanse my system, then I will do a 1500 calorie per day diet and exercise 5 days per week for 12 weeks to bring my weight back to normal. It will be extremely hard for me not to drink alcohol because I'm around it constantly for work. Any suggestions on avoiding drinking alcohol please post them here. Thanks in advance.

no other teas but the laxative tea and the occasional cup of peppermint tea.

have you read thru the newbies thread yet? (link below) lots of info, dos and don't and whys and hows that will help you out in this journey.

the only thing i can say about alcohol, is to not drink it. you've got to have self control and discipline to do the cleanse and you'll be surprised at how much you have, you just have to put it into practice. you know what's right, just do it. there's no magic answer to really give you on that one.

it really takes more than ten days to fully cleanse the system so i think you should do the cleanse as designed by Burroughs for the full ten days to get the maximum benefits from it. 7 days is selling yourself short. especially since days 2,3,4 and 7 generally are the hardest, you're stopping before you get to the good parts. if you're going to go for it, go all out. you've got nothing to lose - but waste and weight.

    From what I know,
One does not affect the other.

Plus, detox tea are natural, so they won't hurt you or interact with other medication.

    Many blessings!

I would not drink anything other than what is originally written in the book by Burroughs.

It doesn't matter if the detox tea is natural or not. Many natural products interact with medications.

Let me explain the ingredients of the tea and how they can affect medications:

Sasparilla Root: This can cause your body to either increase or decrease your body's rate of drug and herb absorption.

Ginger Root: Ginger affects your body's blood clotting abilities. You shouldn't take anything with ginger in it if you are on blood thinners.

Burdock Root: This is a diuretic that makes you urinate. You shouldn't take anything with burdock in it if you are on diuretics.

Any type of cleanse is hard on the liver. Think of your liver as the fuel filter on your car. Try to flush too many things out at once, and it will become clogged. This can cause built up toxins to release back into your body instead of being released. Just do the MC as originally written and your body will do the rest.
