    Default Weight Loss

    Hi,
This is my first MC, and I am on day 6, and I have not lost any weight. I am did not do the MC for weight loss, but I am suprized that I have stayed the same weight. I know that I am about 10 pounds heavier than I am used to being.
I am have been drinking between 6-7 glasses a day, and I try to use about 1.5 tbls of Maple syrup.

I am just curious if people have noticed that weight loss happens more towards the end of the cleanse.
Perhaps my body feels that my current weight is appropriate.

I am planning on doing 10-20 days, depending on how I feel.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

    Hi,

My wife and I are new to the MC and since we do both need to lose more then a few pounds we both cut back on the maple syrup. Yesterday was our first day on our first MC; we used half the amount recommended in the MC book. However yesterday both of us felt clear headed but had moments of dizziness. We upped our maple syrup today and far less dizzies. We plan to adjust our maple syrup daily to match how we feel and continue to loss weight. My wife lost 4 lbs yesterday and I lost 5, maybe we don’t have our system down yet but we are trying. Don’t know if that helps, I am so new at all this it is just fun chating. Good luck, keep going and enjoy your journey to better health!

here this may help you and your wife....
got it off a question and answer site for the MC
I too have struggled with weight problems all my life, until now... it's wonderful...

I'm overweight, can I do the diet more often?
Yes, you may break the diet in stages, such as
doing 10-12 days, following with a month of
drinking the lemonade during the day, and finishing
with a light evening meal, and then going back to a
full diet for another 10-12 days.

Best of luck to you both on your journey

    Hello akrwdesert -

Weight loss depends on a number of variables and factors not *only* on the amt of maple syrup / lemonade / water that a person drinks.

Variables that determine weight loss are age, starting weight, lifestyle (how busy or sedentary); metabolism, gender, race and - oh yeah - age. Did i say age?

Each person's weight loss expereince is unique . . . but i too lost very little weight on my first & 2nd MC. However, i lost inches - and weight loss was not my primary goal. (De-toxification was.)

    Hope this helps.

i started the master cleanse this morning and was hoping to lose weight but my primary goal is cleansing, my concern is that whatever weight i do lose will be regained when i go off the cleanse.

    torry there's no telling.
    it may or may not.
it depends on alot of factors, like those listed above as well as how you eat when you're off the MC.
most people put back on some of the weight loss from not eating and you've got to be careful with salt intake and stuff like that.

focus on the cleansing part and not the weightloss because feeling clean and healthy and reprogramming your brain and the way it deals with food is most important. when you feel cleaner, healthier and more in control of how you deal with food, you'll be able to make better food choices after the cleanse which will lead to a better lifestyle for you and future weightloss/ control.

    Hi All.

This is the 14th day for me. In the firs 9 days or so I’ve lost 12lb. I know that I am still detoxing, however I have stopped loosing weight for the past 5 days – not even 1 lb and not 1 inch in my waste. I don’t think it is the time for me to stop loosing weight yet, as I have 20 lbs to go. I’m 29 at this time so the age should not be the problem. When I plateaud in the first 10 days I visited to the gym once and that moved the weight down 5 lbs. This week I went twice, but like I said no results. I am not doing this only for the weight loss, although that would be nice. Has anyone else plateaud on their detox??? Is this normal???

What you said about being at an ideal weigth was interesting to me. I am 5'5 and weigh 127. I am in my twenties and my body recently began changing to the point were my close don't fit the weigh they used to. I know that i'm not really overweight, but i desperately want to lose enough weight that i don't have to squeeze into my jeans.
I haven't noticed ANY weight change so far. Do I have to stay on the cleanse longer than people who may have a little more to lose, in order to get the results I want?

Stay on the program 100%! Up the amount of lemonade drinks each day. Up to 12 are recommended. First time I did cleanse I did 12 drinks/day and lost 30 lbs in 30days. Keep going!!
