    Default cayenne pepper

This is my first day on the MC and I have to say that the drink is gross. I can't eat hot food at all and the cayenne pepper is too hot for me. Is there an alternative to putting it in the lemonade. I've heard of capcules an such but want to know for sure its equally effective. You'll all probably be hearing from me alot. I'll need the help.

    Hi!

There are many posts about this topic here on the board. Some people use capsules, even though it's best to use the powdered chilie as the recipe states. check around in the board and see what others are trying.

    best of luck to you,
    Sandra

There's nothing wrong with asking questions, how else will you learn?

I am on my 2nd MC (day 6) and I too found the drink rather harsh with the cayenne pepper added. However, I read another post that suggested doing the pepper seperately in a bit of water. I mix it up (pouring cup to cup to get the powder and water mixed) shoot that back (like a vodka shot) and then enjoy the warmed lemonade drink. The citrus seems to disipate the heat of the pepper rather quickly, although I do enjoy some spicy food so it might just be me.

You might want to try it as an alternative.

    Question Re: cayenne pepper

I wanted to know if "Crushed Red Pepper" is the same thing and is ok to use in the drinks...since it is not in powder form...is that ok??? I am using it because it is what we had in my cabinet...but its flaky and floats at the top, I just want to make sure I am doing it right...any thoughts????
