I decided to do the master cleanse because I spent a month in Africa, and my skin and body were a little messed up, so I wanted to detoxify. I have no desire to loose weight; I just want to cleanse out my system. But I am not sure it is working, so I want to know, and if it isn;t, I want advice on how to thelp it work.
It is the morning of Day 4, and other than on Day 1, I have not had any solid elimination just the liquid yellow-brownish kind. Now I know common sense would say liquid in, liquid out, but I thought when you detoxify, it eliminates years of old waste--old solids--so if those are not coming out, does that mean it is not working?
Day 1 and Day 2, I just had the laxative teat at night. Day 3, I did the SWF in morning and laxative tea at night. Today, I am doing laxative tea morning and night. Tomorrow, I will do the SWF in the morning and the laxative at night. I am planning on doing only 5 days, then on day 6 drink orange juice and the lemonade, and then day 7 have only soup and the lemonade.
The only reason why I am not doing 10 days is I do not have enough maple syrup or purified water for that many days. (speaking of the maple syrup--i could not find grade b, and i checked 3 stores, so I have dark grade a, but I figured that would be fine since it is still just pure maple syrup with nothing added.) I know common sense would say just buy more maple syrup and purified water, but I used so much money in Africa and on classroom school supplies for next year(i am a school teacher) that I am a little short on funds.
Anyway, I may still convince myself to just go buy more and do the full 10, but either way, I want to know that it is working. I have not experienced any of the detox symptoms: cravings, tiredness, irritability. And since I am not eliminating solids that also leads me to believe it is not working. Is eliminating solids the only way to know you are getting toxins out of your body?
The master cleanse isn't hard for me as it is surprisingly easy for me to go without food, and I love the taste of the lemonade. I could go 10 days; though, I do not want to go more because, well, I do love the taste of food. I absolutely love love love food. So while this isn't that hard, I only want to do it if it is working.
Some people are more toxic than others, and everyone will experience the detox symptoms differently. Where one person may experience hunger, you may not.
As far as solid eliminations, the cleanse is designed to dissolve accumulated food and toxins and flush them out. The yellow-brownish eliminations ARE proof that the cleanse is working. I have never had solid eliminations after the first day, and I have done the cleanse 12 times. Each for a 30 day period.
Just stick with the cleanse as it is written in the book by Burroughs and your body will do the rest.
