I am on day 2 of my cleanse and am finding that the drink is too sweet with 2 T of the maple syrup. I tried adding more Cayenne and that did not help. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thanks.

I'm only on Day 1, but I found including the pulp from the lemons I use makes it a bit tangier. Maybe that would help.
This may be a dumb question but I noticed on the jug of syrup I had left over from a cleanse I did last May that it says refrigerate after opening which I did not do. It tastes fine to me. I guess I'm just used to regular syrup you don't need to refrigerate because of the preservatives. So should I dump it? Just wondering what others do.
Personally I would dump it and start over with fresh syrup. And refrigerate it this time.
Since the point of the cleanse is to detoxify, you do not want to risk introducing toxins from unrefrigerated syrup into your body.

Thank you for posting this. I'm doing my first cleanse and did not think to refrigerate the syrup but I will make sure I do it now.
Me too.... I'm glad I read this! My syrup WAS on the counter.
