I just finished Day 4. I started on January 1st but stopped due to a dinner meeting that didn't even happen. I feel pretty stupid because I could have been done Day 40 by now, but that's life. I'm just excited that I made it this far with all my school and work stuff. I have a million things going on, but I'm doing it.

And can I just say I REALLY HATE this stupid captcha that I have to fill in for every post now? Seriously.

Planning is key (for me anyway). Haven't been doing well - have been indecisive and doing the MC one or two days and then going back to my old ways. Have also been drinking coffee. This is silly because I know how well I did on it a few years ago. I did it for about 32 days, felt fabulous and lost 22 lbs. Now my weight is at 170 lbs as of this morning! Not good! I am only 5'2 and almost 66 years old.

But this morning I decided that I'd make up lots of the "lemonade" early in the day. It is the best thing I could have done because now I have 7 more 500ml bottles prepped and sitting in the fridge to carry me through. I figured out how to make another batch tomorrow but making a bit more. As long as I fill each bottle right to the very top, it should remain fresh throught the day and I only add the cayenne when I am about to drink the bottle, other wise it gets ruined from the "heat" of the cayenne which seems to grow over time. So I am pleased with myself and know I can do this now. This way I can go out in the car anywhere and take my drinks with me and the cayenne to add to them. It is going to save me lots of time and lots of stress. I figure that I'll get in, on average, about 3-4 qts. a day, doing this. Yippee!
I also realized that if I want to go anywhere in the morning, I'll have to start getting up about 5 a.m. so as to get the SWF over and done with. That's good though - it will help me get more accomplished during the day - just like I used to - and will also enable me to fit a few trips to the gym in each week. Ooooh, I am jumping up and down with renewed enthusiasm for life. After I am done, I intend to be high raw. I am a senior citizen but expect to feel like a much younger chickie again soon!

    Hello Friends,

This is day eleven and I am on my way with the OJ! Tried to get an entire glass of my first non-lemonade substance down, but it was just too strong. I ended up diluting it. Also swallowed my first probiotics capsules. I don't know what brands others of you are using, but I have always had good luck with Jarro Formulas "Jarro-Dophilus +FOS." I get it at my local health food store. They keep it in their refrigeration section, and I keep it in my refrigerator. I also put a bottle of Mountain Valley Sparkling Water in the refrigerator to chill. That is what I intend to do today as well --- chill.

I do a cleanse near the beginning of every year. I have now completed six of them. Although I have done some longer cleanses, ten days usually seems to be right for me. I am feeling better and moving noticeably better. This year's MC seemed somewhat easier than in years past. I am not sure why. Now, for the next two days on post-cleanse.

I always use the cleanse as a way of resetting those habits that are either bad or excessive. In the past this has included caffeine, meat and a lack of daily exercise. This year my goal is to try and cut back on my sugar intake. When I went to the store yesterday to pick my orange juice, I noticed that they were clearing away their Valentines Day candy to make room for their Easter candy. Sugar, sugar, sugar. Sugar here, sugar there. It's everywhere you look. Step one, as with past reforms, is that I resolve not to bring any into the house. Step two is to load-up on fresh fruit for when the sugar cravings hit. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I'm grateful that the Master Cleanse has once again given me a fresh start.

My best wishes to all of you who are currently on your cleanse. To those who are considering one, my personal opinion is that it is the best tool to refresh the body that I have found.

I just finished Day 7. Today was kind of up and down. I took a nap and felt really good. This week I have to do a bunch of work so it might get crazy. I usually make one batch in the morning for the whole day because otherwise I wouldn't get enough lemonade. I think I will continue past Day 10, but I'll have to see how I'm feeling when I get there.

It still seems unreal to me that I haven't eaten anything in a week. Even after doing long cleanses, that feeling of being in another world is still there.

I can't believe I'm at day 9 already! These past days have flown by! Everything has been going swell, except I'm finding it harder to finish all of my drinks. I'm just not hungry at all. My energy levels have been thru the roof and I have been exercising daily! My mind is clear and strong, and I haven't been emotional, although I am waiting for that detox day! Whew! I'm gonna take it one day at a time from here on out, and see how long I stay on this ride. I hope everyone is finding their cleanse to be everything they hoped!

    Day 8.

This morning was ROUGH. HUGE HEADACHE. Slept in until about 2pm. Felt marginally better after the salt flush.

I'm afraid to go past 10 days this time, but I know I need to because I don't feel like I have control yet. I'm still having mega cravings. I went to a pizza delivery site just to look at all the pizzas today. Why did I do this?

I have a feeling I am going to do 40 this time and maybe even more. I have to keep going until I feel like I can eat healthy after this. I obviously didn't accomplish what I needed during my last cleanse and that was 25 days. I've been seriously pigging out for the last two months. Now is my time to take control.

hi guys, it is my first time to do the MC and it's day five for me. i did the 3 day ease in and have lost 6.6 lbs by far.

i have a few questions though:
    1. every time i wake up, i'm having a BM in fairly large quantities than normal even before i take the SW, i'm guessing it's caused by the laxative. because of this, i get scared to take the SW anymore because it might scrape too much off of my colon. has anyone experienced having a BM even before taking the SW and did you still take the SW even if this was the case?
    2. my face is having a rough skin for a few days now since i started the MC, i'm expecting it to be gone by now but it's still rough. i read somewhere that it might be caused by some nutrient deficiency or could also be a sign of detox. is this normal?

so far, i'm enjoying the MC. i'm planning to do 14 days plus 3 days each for ease in and ease out. so 20 days all in all. can't wait for a new me.

    1. That happens to me all the time and I still do the SWF. I don't think there is such thing as "scraping too much off".
    2. My skin is the same right now and I'm on Day 9. It's a detox thing and it takes a while to clear up for some people.

I felt good today and I bought enough maple syrup to take me through Day 20 so I guess that's where I'm going after I get to Day 10.
