Hello Myergal!
It is highly recommended that 6-12 glasses of lemonade be consumed each day. One glass consists of 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon/lime juice; 2 tbsp grade B maple syrup; 1/10th tsp cayenne pepper; 8 fl oz spring or purified water. Only the maple syrup can be adjusted...more if you don't need to lose weight and less if you want to lose more weight. This should be done with caution. If the body goes into starvation mode, you will not lose any weight. The SWF should be used whether or not you have an elimination. Remember the SWF is the rinse cycle. The SWF consists of 32 oz spring or purified water and 2 tsp of non-iodized sea salt. The purpose of the cleanse is to clean the colon and detoxify organs of toxins. I hope that you find this information helpful!
Happy Cleansing!
Tanya

147letsgo! Congratulations on your weight loss! It is not unusual for a two-pound a day weight loss. Remember to end the cleanse slowly as recommended based upon your diet prior to the cleanse. Then, when you return to normal eating consume 50% or more of each meal of raw fruits and vegetable to avoid putting all of the weight back on. Listen to your body on quantity and frequency of eating. Frequent and smaller meals are recommended; oh, and don't forget to drink plenty of water.
Ciao!

thank you! still deciding if i'm going to continue for 15 or 20 days. I read online somewhere about muscle loss around the heart that freaked me out. I'm young with no problems but still would rather be safe than sorry. But about the food advice, thanks, will take everything into account =).
Day 4. I started my 10 days on July 19th. I have followed the protocol properly and had a lot of eliminations every morning. I was so busy each day that I didn't have time to write. Normally the first 3 days are very similar to what they were before because I have done them so many times. From day 4 on it gets a bit more interesting and challenging.
Something very disturbing happened to me yesterday and I am kind of still shocked. Some one I thought was my friend, turned out to be nothing like a friend. I am apparently cleansing my life of people as well. I have spent a lot of time in prayer and contemplation, because this makes me question myself very deeply. I am extremely sad.
Today I will be around people who meditate regularly, do healing work and consider them selves light workers, weather doctors, lawyers, chiropractors or book store owners. I am going to start everything new today. I will spend time alone or in prayer, healing circles. I can not live in a world of illusion any longer.
The good thing is that I don't drink or break my cleanse over this.
Hello everyone! I've been lurking and reading and decided to finally post as my MC experience has been truly profound.
I decided to MC because I started my own business 3 years ago, and have been putting everything else on the backburner in favor of getting the business going. I finally felt like it is time to turn the focus back to me, and to make some health and spiritual changes. I'm turning 42 this year and enjoy a really vibrant, fairly healthy Los Angeles lifestyle, but have gotten careless about fast food, and have developed a micro-brewery beer habit, that, while enjoyable, has increased my waistline a bit! LOL
Started the cleanse last Monday, so today starts Day 8. I'm planning on 10. I have been following the MC strictly--very exact measurements and ingredients. So many great things going on--not easy! But so rewarding. Every day I notice something new that helps me go on.
THE MOST IMPORTANT and SURPRISING DEVELOPMENT one I was not aiming for or expecting--indeed had no idea it was in the realm of possibilities--I have not taken any allergy medication since I began the cleanse. I have been an allergy sufferer and taking heavy medication for it for over 20 years. I once had Pneumonia, and have had on and off Asthma as well. All this time I have assumed/been told it was reaction to seasonal blooms/ air pollution dust mites / feather bedding / pets (I have several). Imagine my shock when all my symptoms ceased after 1 DAY of the MC. It has never occurred to me that I may have food allergies. Obviously, now I have to look at that, as my diet is my only change.
I feel so great!!!!!
And it happened so fast.
Will break the MC exactly as prescibed and then begin adding foods back gradually to see which trigger my allergies. Wheat/Gluten are the major suspect at this point b/c my mother was just diagnosed with Celiac Sprue. Will keep you all posted.
Thanks for all the support!
Labelle, try a laxative herb tea before you go to bed and in the morning if you can. The one I get is call smooth move. I get it from the health food store.

Day 9 and feeling great! Lots of energy in the mornings, evenings not so much...
Hardest adjustment for me was the SWF. First day took me an hour to get it down. Day two, 30 minutes, then 10. Finally got it down all at once when I used slightly cool water.
I have exercised 8 out of 9 days, and I can't imagine doing the cleanse without it. Mostly hiking and "Spin" (stationary cycling) classes. Very helpful for the psyche and occupying time that would otherwise be spent thinking of food.
The best thing I did for myself throughout this process is get accupressure massages. We have a lot of inexpensive Thai spas in LA that specialize in pressure points, deep tissue, and stretching. All good for some additional lymphatic drainage and cleansing. Also gave me a huge sense of well-being and taking care of myself through a challenging experience. I've gotten 2 so far and am hoping for 1 more tomorrow to celebrate Day 10!
Now I'm planning my breaking the cleanse menu and can't wait for that vegetable soup. OH! Last night I had my first crazy food dream: I was eating black beans with my fingers like they were candy and drooling over roast chickens--LOL!
Healthy cleansing, all!
