    Hi! I was also in a panic about leaving enough time for the SWF before work. I have a one hour commute! So when I started I had a couple days off to guage how long the SWF takes to work so I would be safe driving for an hour. I found that two hours is sufficient although the first couple of days I also had to go a couple more times during the morning but not 'urgently'.

    Good luck to you! I'm on day 6 and want to go for 20 maybe - we'll see. My tongue is so gross so maybe I'll try to continue with the cleanse until it clears up...if I can. I'm really craving pizza today! LOL! It helps to know that you cant really cheat on this without paying a hefty gastric price. HeHe!

    Plus you can go back to bed after the SWF if you want. Although you may have to get up a time or two in the next hour. Just an idea. It worked for me.

    I usually do what jcnick is proposing. I drink it and then go back to bed and wait for it to kick in. I can generally get another hour of sleep in before I have my first round. After the initial round it may be another trip or 2 but generally nowhere near as urgent as the first one. You'll get used to it as time goes by. I really promise.

    OK. Day 1 of 15 coming to a close. Starting my laxative tea and then winding up the night. Up early tomorrow to do an SWF then get some lemonade in before spin in the AM and a yoga practice tomorrow night. That's an experiment of sorts because the spin is pretty vigorous but so is the yoga. Since it's spaced out over many hours I can get enough lemonade and water to go to yoga. If I feel too exhausted I'll go to spin one day and do a more gentle yoga practice and then go to the hot yoga practice on the alternate day. Last cleanse I did an hour of cardio and an hour of yoga but every cleanse is different so we'll see. Hope everyone is doing well. I posted a few questions for some people above and will be checking back in after having that oh so delicious tea I'm getting the 'chocolate' laxative tea next time

    Well, I thought I was getting to bed early until my house guests alarm went off. I can't find it in the room he's staying in and he's out. Probably not to be seen until after 2 am. I'm tired and all I'm hearing is 'beep beep beep' loudly and nicely amplified by my stairwell.. ugh!

    Hi I am new to this and i ordered my 1st master cleanse kit around 12hrs ago after reading how well everyone is doing. I really am in awe, i want to last 5-7days for my first attempt but im not sure how i will manage,i will defonitely find it a challenge! I hope to receive it within a week then i can get started after that, i want to do it before new year, even if that means doing it over christmas... any tips would be greately appreciated!!

    I have noticed that a lot of people do seem to exercise a lot, thats a habbit i managed to get out of, i hope that starting this will make me focus more on exercising as well as im trying to lose weight and hopefully master cleanse will be the kick start i need, will it still work if i dont do so much excersise or am i better to exercise everyday when i start?

    Well, I have made it to day 3 and just finished drinking the SWF. I sure hope getting that down gets easier. I thought I wasn't going to make it. It almost seems like it's getting harder. Elimination this morning first thing were (TMI warning!!) foamy and very loud and explosive. Is that mucous? My sinuses have been draining like crazy down the back of my throat. My tongue is ghostly white.

    I've lost 5lb in 2 days. I really kind of hope this slows down, as I don't have weight to lose. I guess it will come right back when I start eating again.

    I felt better on day 2 than day 1, and hoping to feel even better today! I hope everyone else is doing well!

    Good morning! Day two and I'm back. This morning I didn't leave enough time for myself, I guess I'll have to wake up at 4 (ouch!) to get everything out before leaving for work. No catastrophes though, just spent some time in the employee bathroom . . .

    SWF - I can't seem to finish the whole thing. When I start out it's fine, and I drink steadily, and then by the end when I've got 6-8 oz left I feel like I'm going to vomit if I drink anymore. This morning I poured out the last 4 oz probably. Does anyone think this is a big problem? Evita, I will try your trick tomorrow morning.

    I feel fine, taught my Bikram yoga class last night with plenty of energy, I was amazed. The only strange symptoms is some painful throbbing on the right side of my head, below the temple. Comes and goes.

    Hi all,

    Yesterday was day 4 and without a doubt it was the absolute worst day of Cleansing I have ever had!

    The SWF (which normally works like a charm) got retained by my body causing me to feel awful all day. Work was a nightmare I was so achy, grumpy and smelly.... I just really did not want to be around people. I finished my day early to come home and lie around feeling sorry for myself which did not help either.... Finally I texted an old friend who actually convinced me to do my first cleanse, she gave me all of the normal assurances, even though I did not particularly want to hear them.

    Then at 8:30 I decided I would force myself to feel better. I got up, got moving and nearly killed myself at the gym, came home and took the hottest bath I could stand and scrubbed my skin til it tingled, after that I took a cool shower, cozied up with some tea and watched a movie before falling asleep to the the best 8 hours of sleep one could ever wish for.

    This morning is day five and I feel incredible, in fact as terrible as I felt yesterday< I fell that great today!

    Moral of the story: Bad days happen, they are necessary for the detox, and a great day is just around the corner.

    Since this is your first cleanse I would encourage you to actually go through the 10 days. Days 3 and 7, in Peter's book, are the benchmarks for detox days. And they can be very difficult with no real reward for what you decided to undertake. Yes, it's a challenge but if you post here, really read the boards, read Peter's book twice/three/four times, ask for support from the community and follow it to the letter you really should be OK. That said do what you can.

    I do exercise on the cleanse but I also see how I feel. If it's a detox day then I may take a gentle stroll but that's it. You won't know how you'll feel about exercise until you start. Some people need to 'take it easy', as Peter explains in the book and there is also a post about this on the site. If you feel up to it and you've been out of a routine for a long time then just take a 30 minute walk or do a gentle yoga practice. Go with how you're feeling. You'll feel a LOT better that way.
