I'm on my second day of OJ. Tomorrow I will be eating solids for the first time in SIX weeks. I think I will go for strawberries and watermelon with a salad at night like I did last time and just keep adding fruits and vegetables from there. I have to go purchase some probiotics too.

I'm not sure when my next cleanse will be. I doubt I will do 40 days again unless I gain a significant amount of weight again. So I guess this is good-bye... for now.

    Good Luck DocBunsen

Connie; I think your meals sound delicious. I guess I will just concentrate on getting the Probiotic for now, and maybe OJ and Broth for just a little over a week before I actually make a Soup. I am just a little concerned that my ravenous appetite may return.

I haven't been on the board in a few days. We had a big snowstorm here - about 2 & 1/2 ft. in 3 days. I had to take my son to the dentist on Friday, 2 hrs. away the day the storm was blowing into town. I was a little scared and hoped the appointment would be over before the snow started in earnest.

As it turns out, just when we were leaving for home, the fuse for my windshield wipers blew out and I couldn't see to drive. Managed to get to Walmart and went through 2 BOXES of fuses which all blew, also. Called AAA who eventually arrived and said they could do nothing for me. In the time it took waiting for AAA, the two auto parts stores near by, closed. Eventually, found an open store which sold me this windshield spray that makes water and snow bead on the windshield and roll off, when your wipers don't work. The trick is you have to be driving at 35 mph to make it work. It was a horrible nightmare, but we eventually made it home, safe and sound, about 2 hours later than we ordinarily would have.

While standing in the sleet, etc. trying to fix the car and wait for AAA, I had run out of lemonade and there was no way in the world that I was going to put myself through not having anything warm to eat or drink. So I went off the cleanse. Had oj and soup that day, all in the same day. I had one "hot" diarrhea type run to the bathroom, and one hot BM later, but that was it.

So, I cut my MC short by a few days, but I don't feel bad about it. Just before I quit, I had posted that I felt ready to start eating again...I really did feel that I had accomplished NEARLY everything I needed to with this cleanse, and was just biding time until I got to my target number of days.

The next day, Sat., I had oj and made my Chinese vegetable soup (see thread) for dinner. Ate soup all day yesterday. I feel heavy, but my pants are quite loose, so I guess that heaviness is just my suddenly having a full colon, instead of easing into it better.

Hope you all are staying strong (and not getting caught in snowstorms).
Have a great, correct, end to your cleanses, and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Red face Re: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

    Day 25/30.

Still plugging along, coming to terms with Saturday being my last day. Did SWF this morning. No results after 2 hrs, so I will have some Lax Tea this morning. I need to get more than my 64 ounces of water. This is going to be an uncomfortable day for me . I don't like the SWF much, but I know it's necessary, but for me, not every day.

    Have a GREAT DAY !!!!!

I think it was Benni that was doing research on probioitcs?

Of course Peter sells one here on the site, but as a reference I bought mine at a local store. As far as raw vegan-ness it may not pass as it contains gelatin, but I selected it as it had a mixed blend of three strains: L. acidophilus, B. bifidum, and B. longum. It was packaged by Phillips as "Colon Health Probiotic" it proports to contain 1.5 billion cells per capsule.

Again - not saying that is the best one or any claim at all just sharing what I had been taking (used half a bottle last cleanse and the rest for this one). Just didn't want to deal with mail order.

Let us know what you discover on your quest!

So, after nagging from my parents, I've decided to take a little break from the master cleanse for Thanksgiving. My parents think what I'm doing is unhealthy and compared me to being anorexic. Next they'll say that I'll need counseling. So to appease them, I'm going to eat on Thursdayfor Thanksgiving dinner, and then its back to the cleanse on Friday. To see how the effects would be, I ate a chocolate bar yesterday. I felt it a little bit last night, but today I've really felt the bowel movements. Knowing this I'll be prepared on Thursday.

Well, i've been on the cleanse for a week! Outside of the chocolate bar yesterday, I haven't eaten anything and feel really proud of what I've accomplished. I've lost 8.4 lbs in 7 days. I don't know if I can make it to December 15th, but I'm going to try. I know I can make it to 10 days, so I'll judge where I'm at every 5 days after that, and when I feel comfortable, I'll stop. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Thanks for the feed back Connie.

So, I decided to skip the 'Tea' this morning, and just let the SWF do it's thing. Drank about 100 ounce water, but not much urinating. Hopefully tomorrow .

Anisette; Good Luck with eating wisely.

    Hi guys!

Just a quick question. I did a 14 day cleanse from Oct 1-14, and I am thinking about doing another 10 days at the beginning of December. Is this too close together? I don't want to mess up my metabolism.

Congrats to all of you on your cleanses!! Sounds like you are all having a lot of success!

    Thanks,
    Emily

    Hi Emily,

Well, that's pushing it a little, but it would probably be okay. Listen to your body during it. And be sure to wait several months before you do another.

    Enjoy!
