It has been harder to do the SWF this cleanse than my last . But on a up note, went yesterday and bought 3 4-week old baby turkeys. The chickens are, well, chicken of them. Its too funny.
Well cool, with the turkeys. That would be funny to see. Don't feel bad about the salt water, that happens sometimes. This is my 11th cleanse and I threw up the salt water twice. Some days are better than others. Keep on trucking friend. You are on a roll and stuff is working its way out of you. I hope the sore throat and discomfort you are feeling doesn't last long. Hang in there.

Unless you could find some that is totally vegan and no preservatives. If you can find it easily, please disregard everything I just said. I just had to add my two cents in. Hope you don't mind. Anyway, I am so proud of you. (and a bit jealous, I might add, I have until Tuesday to taste the sweet nectar.
Yeah, right now I'm taking it one day - really one hour - at a time. But I know there is a whole foods where I'm going, so I was hoping I could get a big thing of soup from the deli. I could go to my whole foods here and see what the options are - I'd need to go there anyway to get more MS to last through the weekend if I decided to go that route. If I felt really industrious, I have a friend there who would let me cook at her house. - not sure I'm feeling that ambitious. Today is a MC day though for sure!

Thanks Dollfacegreene! Good luck with the last few days - you are an inspiration!

Thanks for the tea/SWF info. Perhaps I should just get up super early and do the flush, though I have to leave for work at 6:30 so it woudl really be the middle of the night! With the tea, would you say it's once every couple hours? Or more like you're running to the bathroom every few minutes?

Hi emilylgw--I leave for work at 7:30, so I have been getting up around 5:00 (well, my alarm goes off at 5:00, and I did that the first few days, but the last few it has been more like 5:30). I mix the SWF right away, but it takes me awhile to drink it (I am usually done by 6:00). That, for the most part, has been enough time for me to take care of business before going out the door (a few times I have had to go once I got to work, but I was able to make the 20 minute drive without a problem). Everybody's body is different, of course, but this is what has worked for me. Good luck with your cleanse!

well thanks. I hope it goes away too, certainly don't want to take anything right now unless it becomes a full blown cold. It is just a small pang in the the throat, nothing major. The turkeys are cute and all, but there is one noisy crier out of the bunch. I hope when s/he gets used to the new home, s/he will quiet down. I am not ready yet to let them wonder the yard, so they are in a enclosure until they are a bit older and the chickens get used to them and vice versa. I am thinking in about a week they will be more ready for the big wilderness of a back yard (it really isn't that big-less than an acre for the house and front yard and all). For now, I hope s/he doesn't annoy everyone, cause it is getting to me to hear s/he cry all the time. Will make for a long couple months till they are full grown and ready for the freezer....

Default Day 8 midday ... or is it end of day?

It feels like the end of the day to me since I've been awake since 3:45. I had a very hard day of work but feel great. My wrist is back in its brace. I can tell it's still healing. My calves feel great. Did I mention before how much they ached the other day through yesterday? I'm glad I knew what was happening between my calves and my wrist or I might have just freaked right out. I just have to drink one more lemonade and then I can more or less call it a day.

cuckoo, congrats on reaching a firm decision that feels right to you. Enjoy your juice tomorrow! The tea usually wakes me up super early, what other people would consider middle of the night.

fit4teen, I'm sorry you are having such a rough go of things but am deeply impressed by your determination and resolve.

Lambchop, you are not alone, we're all here with you. Just remember to date and time, including time zone, your posts so we all understand how delayed your posts are. I'm sure soon they will begin to instantly go through. I remember going through that when I first joined but it was so long ago I forget how long it took.

katlady, I'm really sorry you are feeling conflicted but it sounds like at least your body is telling you very clearly what it needs today. Bravo to you for listening! Not many people do listen to what their bodies tell them. WF has some great foods so I'm sure you will manage if necessary. I cringe to admit it but I know someone who broke her fast using canned soup. I was aghast but I really shouldn't complain that they didn't suffer because of it.

dollfacegreene, thank you for asking. It does feel a lot better but it's still aching a bit. Wow, you're almost done! Will you have to spend longer in the fast breaking part than a person who has only fasted 10 days? You deserve a lot of credit for opening yourself up to receive that strength so don't sell yourself short! I'm sure your husband will be thrilled to have you back as his dining companion.

tata001, we all need some emotional cleansing sometimes.

emilylgw, welcome to the board and good luck as you begin your new cleansing journey. I almost always just do the 10 days since that ends up feeling right to me. You will get tons of benefits from it.
I've never seen cayenne that hast he heat units but I have also seen people refer to it on boards. I've never had a problem with it getting too hot. When I begin, I usually make my first few lemonades with a bit less cayenne and then increase through day 2 until I reach my regular strength. I occasionally make it in advance and it does not seem to hot to me. If you are worried, you can make your lemonade in advance but keep the cayenne separate and add that to each serving as you drink them.
I had my alarm set for 4am today so I could do my swf in plenty of time before work. I put my salt and water in a covered pot on the stove at night. When I wake up, all I have to do is uncover then heat it for a moment before I chug it. Then I have time to let it finish washing through me before I have to be in action.

Bubbles_erin, oooh, turkeys! LOL about the chickens being chicken of them. the sore throat could be part of the detox if you have a lot of mucus draining. Have you tried gargling with saltwater? That has always helped a sore throat for me.

No I haven't tried it, my husband's tried and true home remedy is lime juice with honey, let boil on stovetop and drink warm. Another home remedy for colds/flu/sore throat (basically any ear/throat/nose sickness) is to put hydrogen peroxide in each ear for about 3 mins. lay on side, put in ear, drain and repeat with other side. Hydrogen peroxide is quite amazing actually, I add it and baking soda to my laundry. Use a deliuted bottle for cleaning. We try to minimize our household toxins, so less getting to our bodies and endocrine system. I think the sore throat was compliments of a friend Anyways, hope your calves and wrist feel better soon. hang in there.

Lime is cleanse friendly but definitely not honey. I suggested saltwater because it would not break the cleanse but I do love using peroxide for health and cleaning. I have bottles of it everywhere!

Thanks, I am noticing improvement so I feel good about it. I'm nearly done with this day. I'm just having water and resting until it's time to have my tea and go to bed. Even though I got up so early, I had the best night's sleep I've had since I began this cleanse.

I am sending you the biggest Las Vegas hug you have ever had in your life. We are going to make it through this weekend together. I just told my husband about 30 minutes ago, I can't wait for this weekend to be over. One day, one hour at a time, sounds like a plan. I WANT SOME SOUP TOO.
