cuckoo, I just gave myself one too and feel great; I hope you do too!

I've enjoyed a leisurely paced morning and am thinking it's time to head to the park to get dirty now that I just got out of the shower.
    Thanks

Is it common to taste salt after the cleanse. I lick my lips and I taste Salt

Last night was rather difficult. I think all the mucus draining really got to me and I felt incredibly sick through much of the afternoon and all of the evening. I wanted to salt scrub but was already feeling too sick and skipped it. I made myself drink more water which I think helped. I did not want my herbal lax tea, which I usually enjoy. I drank it anyway and then passed out for the night.

I woke up to the rumbly tummy feeling around 5:30. I was relieved at the feeling though since I was confident that I would feel better once I got whatever was making me sick out of my system. I did feel a ton better. I prepared my SWF but was not quite up for chugging it so I just let myself relax and drink it steadily on medium to medium-high speed. That went well enough and is most likely still going. I have had more water but no lemonade yet this morning. The water, syrup, and cayenne are measured and waiting in the pot already. Luckily I don't have to be anywhere for a couple more hours so I have plenty of time to be sure the SWF is done plus have some lemonade and more water. I might bring some lemonade with me since I am volunteering at the park this morning for some Fall cleaning.

dollfacegreen, congrats on 30 days so far! I'm not sure if I'll ever get up the nerve and willpower to do 40 days at once. I'm definitely downing a lot of water with this cleanse.
Ursa you are wonderful. It is nice to see people share their light with their community. The wonders of this cleanse are amazing, aren't they? I have sinus problems in general and I have gotten that mucus drain off action a couple times already on this cleanse. I am hoping by day 40 I will be cleared completely and then I will cut foods that promote mucus buildup. Since I am doing 40 days this time, my goal also is to make some major adjustments to my nutrition plan this holiday season. I am already focusing on my reasons and goals for the January cleanse. Isn't it funny how we control ourselves while cleansing and then when we do eat foods, that control is diminished because food is so delicious. Self control is a lesson I pray to walk away with this cleanse. LASTING SELF CONTROL.

Keep that focus and drive Ursa. Glad to be cleansing with you.

I just had my first glass of OJ. Thanks for everyone support.....
CONGRATULATIONS WTWIEN!!!! WOW 40 days on your first cleanse, that is amazing. My first cleanse I was only able to do 8 days. Good for you. How do you feel and what would you say is the greatest thing that you learned about yourself through this journey? I would love to hear. You are truly awesome, with a willpower that should be recognized. By the way, how was your orange juice? I can't wait. mmmmmm good. Congratulations, maybe we'll meet again next year for another go. Who knows. Enjoy your rewards.

I feel great and if you set you mind to do something that you can do it and no one will stop me. The OJ was great but I not really hunger yet. You keep up the good work. You are almost there. Thanks again for your help and support

    Wow--congratulations wtwien

I was planning on complaining about day 6--but that seems a little pathetic now! ha ha

My morning was good (although I almost fell into my five-year-old son's chocolate chip pancakes while I was helping him cut them); I did the lemon/salt scrub (thanks, Ursa) and took my boys to their soccer games. It was a beautiful morning to be outside, so that was nice. When I got home, I felt kind of beat; I made myself lemonade, but overall the day dragged, and I didn't have much energy (I spent most of the afternoon browsing through a cooking magazine--why do I do this to myself?) Finally, in the evening I went for a run--the gnats were so bad here that they were literally bouncing off my face, and I joked to my husband that I think I ruined my cleanse because I probably ate so many of them while I was huffing and puffing.

Ah well--it is safe to say that I am glad day 6 is over (maybe this is my bad day instead of 7?). I will have my tea and head to bed.I hope the rest of you felt better today than I did.

(Oh--I also had my first dream last night where I ate food on the cleanse and blew it--I knew it was coming--so glad to wake up). Have a great night--and thanks again for all of the help/support

How did you feel after the 24 days, did you see a big difference from doing shorter cleanses? I know it depends on how you were eating in months beforehand. I am just curious.
I felt really good and was at a really good weight for me - though I still didn't get to a fully pink tongue, and didn't completely get rid of my allergies as I'd hoped. I did have my cholesterol checked, and was amazed. I've never in my life (I'm 45) had a total cholesterol less than 200 before and it was 171. Actually - I have the stats in my journal...Total cholesterol went from 272 in June 2009 to 171 in March 2010 after the 24 day cleanse. Triglycerides from 365 to 122. HDL 53 to 51, LDL 219 to 96.

My problem is my eating habits off cleanse are really bad - so the effects don't stay with me as long as I'd like. I have great intentions but slowly find myself back in my old habits. I did manage to eat well for a while, but then went on a cruise this summer and everything went down hill from there....

I felt so strong at the gym today. Worked out 2 hours in the morning doing weight training and stretching and then went back in the evening for 1 hour Zumba class. Got some good sauna time also. I haven't felt hungry, but just craving food in general. A salad with some shrimp, maybe. Guess I will settle for some wonderful lemonade. Quiting is not an option. Almost there.

Everyone is doing wonderful and I see us all having success and reaching our goals. We can do this friends. Congratulations in advance. Have a wonderful and blessed Saturday.
OK, I am so not worthy....working out on day 30!!! I haven't tried working out on the cleanse - too afraid the SWF would decide to kick in again

So speaking of SWF....trying 3 tsp didn't make a big difference. It still worked - a bit. And it occurs to me that maybe the SWF isn't kicking in like I remember because I hadn't been drinking enough water all day. I used to drink one LA, drink one water, etc, and this time for some reason I was just drinking LA and only drinking a little water at bedtime.

So I'm hoping that since I drank more water yesterday and I'm drinking a LOT of water today, the SWF will work better tomorrow. The only problem is, it's late and I want to go to bed soon, but I've only had 5 LA so far and I just don't know if I can get the rest down now.

Awesome!! Thanks for sharing, that is also one of the things that I love about the cleanse. You are so welcome. Take care of yourself

ps. I have not heard of anyone stating that problem. In my past cleanses I don't recall experiencing that either. I think I was so excited to have the OJ, I didn't notice. Check out the threads "Breaking the fast" or "After the Cleanse" and ask there. Sorry I had no answer for you.
