Seriously fantastic results! I say keep going if you feel like you might need to and you can. I am really glad I stayed true to the second goal I set for myself, since I've had more detox then I would have if I stopped.

Today is Day 21! Last DAY!!! I'm so excited. I have a ton of veggies to make soup. I think I'll do oranges for half of the day tomorrow and then see if I can stomach some broth. I know it's risky but I am really excited about the soup. I got kale, spinach, celery, brussels sprouts, bean sprouts, red potatoes, onions, bok choy, cabbage, and more. I won't put it all in at the same time- might not be any broth if I do!
Still down just 13 pounds, but I'm okay with it. I feel good and detoxed and motivated to eat more healthfully. I'll be honest, I'm not going to completely cut out cheese or meat, even though I would love to get to the point where I don't want those things. I'm really looking forward to different healthy dishes that I've been researching here, and I've starting clipping recipes and taking notes from the Food Network and Cooking Channel.
I will really miss this BB so I might still log on regularly even after my ease out. For the next couple of days, I'll head over to the Breaking the Fast pages. Good luck to all!
Dollface- I will definitely be back to see how the rest of your days go, I know you'll be rocking it! When in January do you usually cleanse?

01/2011: Goal is 14-21
Hi everybody! Wow, there are a lot of new people since I was last here! For a quick update, I finally did a complete MC Aug. 2- Aug. 19th. I only lost five pounds, and that was very disappointing, but if nothing else, I was so proud that I completed more than ten days, which was my original plan (after trying for an entire year!!!) Anyway, I had an easy detox, and I never had any problems.
Well, I went off of it w/o the orange juice. I ate a salad. The next day, I think I ate canned soup and salad. To make a long story short, my body went through so many terrible reactions, (cold sores all over my lips, fever, two periods in the same month, not being able to sleep, etc) that I felt maybe I had not gone long enough on the MC. I was really scared. Anyway, I am proud to say that I was weighing 175 after the cleanse (180 before the cleanse). I now weigh 164! I've lost more after the cleanse than when I was on it! I want to do the "raw" food, but I can't find any real info on it. What I've read is basically drinking protein shakes. That would not work for me, drinking my meals. Been there, done that. I want to "chew" something! Well, I think I will do a three day MC. Is it too soon? I don't want to get "sick" like I did before.
Today is Friday, and I had mac and cheese. I ate until I got sick, literally. I'm going to drink my tea tonight and do a three day MC. I'll be glued here again, for if it was not for this site, I never would have made it for18 days! Still, I don't see how people go 20, 30, and even 40 days! That's really awesome!
DMozart.
My mouth is watering after reading all the veggies you have. I can't wait to get mine. CONGRATULATIONS YOU DID IT!!! Losing 13 pounds I would say is pretty darn good. I am so proud of you. I am with you about cheese and meat. Havarti is my favorite cheese and chicken, turkey and seafood are my favorites. If we use moderation and common sense, we both are going to be just fine. I am weak for too many servings of nuts too.
I am glad you are going to check back, I really appreciate it. I am going to miss our connection. I am tipping my lemonade glass to your success and to all your upcoming events and celebrations. I usually do the cleanse for the whole month of January, but I am starting after super bowl weekend. I promised my best friend I would not cleanse during her super bowl party, since I did it for her past 2 parties.Ahuahu I am so proud of you and your determination and focus. Keep it going and you will have no worries. Thank you for all your encouragement and friendship.

Hey DMozart. Congratulations on a successful cleanse and your weight loss. Great results. It is not unusual for some people to continue to lose weight after the cleanse. I have actually experienced that on cleanses before. That is pretty cool, because it helps to stay focused on better eating habits. Here is the link from the forum that gives you a list of books that others have recommended for raw food cooking and eating. I hope you find it helpful.

I would not recommend doing a 3 day cleanse. You are not actually giving your body the chance to kick into full detox mode. The first 3 days are the hardest and involves withdrawal from some of the foods we eat and you would be putting yourself through that for nothing since you will not continue after your first breakthrough. Also, according to Dr Burroughs book, you should only do the cleanse a minimum of 10 days and 3-4 times a year. If you are doing the cleanse every 4 months (120 days) for 10-20 days each time, that would involve a longer break time in between cleanses. So doing another cleanse so soon after your last one, would not be recommended. You may want to continue to investigate more raw food options for now and then do the cleanse again in January (annual worldwide cleanse). Especially since you are already having success with more weight loss after your cleanse. Of course it is your decision, I just want to guide you based on Dr Burroughs instructions.Again congratulations on your success. I love it when I continue to lose weight after the cleanse. Sometimes it is too easy to gain it back within a short period of time. Many blessings to you.
Look at it as a breakthrough day. When you do your SWF in the morning you will feel better. There are going to be some days when you will detox more and have more symptoms. That is a good thing. Thank God we have the morning flush to get rid of those feelings. How many servings of lemonade are you having per day and how many days are you planning to cleanse? Just want to make sure you are getting enough servings. Make sure you are drinking enough water as well, to help your body flush. Hang in there npark, 5 days and still going strong, right?![]()
MC 11, Day 23 of 40. Well I said I was waiting for the ball to drop and today it did. My first 23 days have not been miserable and today that changed. This morning I threw up the salt water for the first time in a long while (violently I might add), so I didn't have a full flush. I was really uncomfortable from the "lack" of cleansing via butt pee. My day continued and all of a sudden I became emotional about everything. I started crying and got very irritable out of the blue. My tongue is still REALLY disgusting and my stomach is growling louder than the tv. My nose keeps collapsing on itself every time I smell food and I just want to taste a wonderful soup and salad. The question is what am I going to do about it. Welllllllll.....
I am going to keep on pushing. I only have 17 days to go and that is less than what I have already done. Salt water is going to stay down and I am going to have joy in the morning. Tomorrow has to be a better day and if it isn't, that is ok too. At least I don't feel hungry. I AM NOT QUITTING.....NOT FOR THESE REASONS. I am ready for the next phase, bring it lemonade.
Thanks for listening to my rant. I feel much better now. I needed that.
Thanks Dollface for the feed back really look forward to your input!
I didn't even think about the dairy and meat. I knew to get off caffiene, I hate those headaches. How many days do I need off the meat and dairy before starting?
All things are possible through Jesus Christ, but that doesn't mean it is easy!!
