What an awesome story! Thank you so much for all of your great thoughts. SO helpful when going through the craziness sometimes. I think i had forgotten my WHY today (also forgot to make enough LA to bring through a long day!) and that reminder restrengthens my resolve!
I have been working out sporadically, maybe 2x a week, but pretty hard when I do. Yesterday got through about 30 minutes of P90X Yoga and then went for a 3 mile run because I just couldn't do anymore! Quite sore today, actually. Tomorrow I will do a light workout because we're planning on a 12 miler for Tuesday (stupid marathon is advancing quickly)! So that will help. I just need to be ok with not losing any more weight if that is the way it works out. I am fine with how I look, I just need to fit into the dress I spent so much money on! I'll keep you updated.
Congrats to you on your steely resolve and spiritual growth! Color me impressed- Cheesecake is a bear of temptation!

Day 1! Thanks so much for your earlier message, Dollface. Just finished the SWF. Made it warm and it was sort of like a cheap soup :-) Looking forward to starting the lemonade.
alright, they don't call day 5 hump day for nothing. i woke up feeling BORED with this! i did the swf, and it made me super queasy- i feel like my stomach is smaller than can accommodate the whole quart, so it was tough to get down this morning- some gagging ensuedand i had class all morning, but i have just NOT been hungry- cravings, a bit, but not at all hungry. i'm content to drink water, and am feeling NO interest in drinking the lemonade today. it's already after 3pm and i've only had 1 1/2 glasses. do i force myself to drink the other 4 1/2, even if i am not remotely hungry?? i don't know.
dollfacegreen, i am using organic grade b maple syrup. and i have done the swf every morning so far (although i think tomorrow morning i'll have to do tea, as i have a very early class- and i could probably use the break). eliminations after the flush are pretty normal i think- i basically see the entire quart of water again (as disgusting as that sounds), and eliminate several other times throughout the day as well.
but i'm in a slump!

I hear you! I'm feeling the same way today! I tried using the agave nectar but it's not for me. The MS tastes yummier to me even though it's SO expensive. I do miss food, but I just keep thinking- it'll still be there when I'm done! I'm not "missing out" on anything, and if anything, the longer I cleanse, the better food will taste, and hopefully the better HEALTHY food will taste. I just have the rest of today and then only 4 more days until I've reached my goal of 21 days, which I NEVER would have believed I could do. In fact, I keep double counting myself, thinking I must have made a mathematical error somewhere! YOU CAN DO THIS!
In answer to your question: YES you should try to make yourself drink the lemonades! The last thing you want is for your body to think you're depriving it and go into starvation mode. That'll just slow youre metabolism right down, which will prevent a lot of the benefits of the cleanse from occurring, and is just all around not very good for you. As long as it's not making you sick, I would try putting the LA into a reusable water bottle and chugging it that way. Makes it go down a lot faster, and they're usually the size of 2 drinks. You'll be done before you know it! Or, if you are feeling icky (nauseous, etc), sometimes reducing the MS a bit helps me. I think there are times that the syrup just makes it too sweet for me, and reducing it (just a little!) makes it more tart and refreshing.
Stay strong, sister! We are cleansing right along with you and supporting you!!!![]()

Day 7 is done!!! Thank you lord for allowing us to make it this far. We lost our 3rd participant on Day 3. My wife and I agree that this is the most INTENSE and DIFFICULT MC that we have ever done. The emotions are running wild. There are tears being shed, emotions being aired, and feelings being expressed. But there is also a sense of clarity building. Which is one of the main reason we do this cleanse. We really let ourselves go after the last cleanse which was in April of 2009. Last cleanse I lost 65 lbs. And that was in 24 days. Obviously I have a lot of weight to lose. I was smoking 3-4 cigars a day. My wife became pregnant about 3 months later and had a 3 day labor! WOW is right! She's a gangster! Hardcore to the bone.
We are doing 1 TBS of maple syrup in every mix. It works for us and always has. Stage 2 is beginning. I feel it. These next 7-10 days are my favorite part of the MC. Special things begin to happen, at least for me.
I recommend the Sauna to anyone who has access. They make it all worthwhile. My wife likes to Bjorn the baby and go walk by the water. It's beautiful in the Bay Area (just in case you didn't know). I guess I am going to go longer than 14 days. I wanted to stop at 14 so I could go to the Raiders home game and Tailgate and drink, but I need to set priorities. My wife is talking 40 for her. We'll see how it all pans out.
We have started to clean house as well. Purge items. I mean give it a real steam cleaning. The baby is 5 months and is starting to crawl. So things need to be ready for that.
I guess I am rambling now so I'll bring it to a close. I have decided to use this as my venting vehicle because I am not a talker. Me and emotions aren't the best friends. So comment if you like. If you don't like, then tell me about it on the 31st of February
. Vaya con Dios!
PS. Take a look at pics of m beautiful baby! She is a model in the making! www.facebook.com/Ayinde
I am so sorry I have not responded in the past day or so. We just got back from an extended date day/night/day. Free room at Green Valley Ranch Hotel. AWESOME. I will read and post when I get back from the gym. Everyone keep pushing and I will share my experience when I get back.
