Lahontani -- Sorry for the confusion -- my husband's father is in a nursing home and though they thought he was going to die any day, he is still telling stories and is okay. I am waiting to go to Mass. IF he dies soon. Thanks for your concern. My husband did the OJ on the plane as it was his first day coming off the MC and it went fine. I am aiming for 22 days and I am on day 15. Thanks for your suggestions.

I like going through the routine with the SWF, making the lemonade (I love licking the spoon at the end of the MS measurements) and then just drinking the lemonade and water all day. That cayenne pepper gives me a real kick for the day too.

Though I wake up at 5:30am and have to do butt pee a bit, I still haven;t gone after my SWF at it's almost 11am. What's wrong with that????????????????

Today I go to the gym and I plan on doing the treadmill for a long time. Yaaaaaah!
It's nice not having to eat anything, as there are so many projects I am getting to.

    Happy Labor Day!

    Hello Everyone,

Im new here and this is my first cleanse. Right now im on day 6, my boyfriend stopped after day 2 so im on my own!

i started at 163 and now i am down to about 161. im in europe, so we use the kilo system. im not losing quite as much weight as i would like, i think i have a really terrible metabolism. i drink about 6-8 lemonades a day, drink water, drink the tea at night and do the SWF (eck!) in the mornings. I even go to the gym at least 3 times a week, not to mention ride my bike for transport (hey, it's holland!)

im still hungry...well my mind is anyways. in the past couple years i got really good at cooking and i miss it and my fabulous dishes! it's difficult also when i go out (like the movies last night) or when my boyfriend cooks at home. Ive been looking up new vegan and veggie recipes in the meantime to try out once the cleanse is over...somehow it satisfies me just to look at the food. pleasure/pain!

It's really nice to come on here and read everyone's progress...it keeps me going!

    Cheers,
    Evrae

I just turned 50 in August and am not quite going through menopause yet. I have had some symptoms, but they are few and far between - Feb '08, Aug '08, July '10 were the only times. So I guess that's pre-menopausal? Most of the info that's easily available is all about hormone therapy. I am convinced that the Master Cleanse is going to help me make a smooth transition as long as I stick with it, clean myself out thoroughly, and maintain a healthy diet. Maybe that's why I've had so few symptoms, and the change is taking it's own sweet time.
Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner, but better late than never right? That is awesome your son is at Hard Rock. My house and the gym I go to are 15 minutes from the Hard Rock, so next time you are in Vegas.......I will be looking for you. I am not on any hormone replacement and my doctor told me my fitness habits and lifestyle have helped to ease the symptoms. Peri-menopause started for me when I was in my late 40's and now at 54 I am finished. However, the night sweats and the hot flashes stay with you. BTW, my birthday is in August also. Keep up the good work !!!

Welcome to our family Evrae!! Congratulations on your determination. According to your post, you are doing it all right and I am glad to see you are working out also. Don't let the slow weight loss get you discouraged. It is not unusual for some. Some have had more weight loss near the end of their cleanse than in the beginning. That has happened to me several times on different cleanses. How long are you planning on going for? I love to watch the Food Network while I am cleansing also. Hang in there and happy cleansing.

    Hey there!

I had to go to the store earlier to get enough lemons for tomorrow and water so I bought my food I'll need starting Wednesday. It was literally an entire cart of produce. I love vegetables!! It feels wonderful to be so excited about all my veggies! I look at junk and I don't want it. Have to remind myself of this feeling when I'm around that stuff. I don't do the oj. I'll do a green drink for breakfast and a green smoothie for lunch. Just finished cleaning and cutting it up and storing it in green bags. The smell of fresh greens is heaven! Ok, that's my exciting news for now. .

Hope everyone had a great holiday and that you all are doing well!

I was wondering the same thing. Yesterday morning was the same for me. I didn't feel like i flushed much at all. Had an initial "butt pee" but then nothing major after. This morning it seemed like I made up for it. I would like to know if there is an explanation as well. I felt bloated because of it also. Glad this morning was better. Hope you have fun at the gym, I went this morning and it was fantastic. They had a 75 minute Zumba class for the holiday and then I did push ups and abs. I felt pretty good. Going to make a lemonade and take nap now. Have a great rest of the day.

I am looking forward to that shopping trip. Today I started craving a nice fresh salad with grape tomatoes, shredded carrots, alfalfa sprouts, cucumbers, avocado, cranberries, walnuts and chicken breast. I can just taste it. In due time, In due time. Have a great day Lynda!!

How's everyone doing? Is anyone subjecting themselves to a cookout?? Oh... One thing I haven't seen mentioned but that happens to me often on the cleanse is I always dream that I eat something while I'm on the cleanse. It happens every time I cleanse. Frankly, I like it. I feel like I'm getting something but I never actually do it. . Lol. I start freaking out and then I wake up and realize it was a dream. Whew....

Hope to hear from a lot of you today! Your thoughts and motivations make me smile. You are doing fantastic! Keep it up, I know you can!!

    Lynda
That is funny you mention that. I was thinking, everything is going so smoothly, I just know the dreams are coming soon. The last one I remember, on my cleanse in May, was eating saltine crackers like I had no manners, my mouth was full of cracker and I realized I was fasting and I freaked out. I woke up sweating and scared. I got to laugh because it was only a dream. Of course, I wasn't able to laugh right away.

Day 12 of 40, at least I have less than 30 days left.

Had a great day at the gym today and used up all the energy I started the day with. No BBQ's and that is a blessing.

WANT TO SHARE: I have started a new habit in the morning, I make one serving warm right away and drink it while making my travel servings. The warmth and comfort it gives is soooo soothing. Nice replacement for your regular morning coffee or tea. I heat the water only and then add lemon and maple syrup. It is also a good way to get a quick serving in, especially if you are having a hard time getting in the minimum.

I truly hope everyone's day was fantastic. No matter what day you are on, I pray each one has been a blessing or is leading to one!

    DRINK LOTS OF WATER
