Thread: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

    Good morning everyone!

Starting Day 3 and feeling good. Up early to flush and then will go back to bed while awaiting the results. Day 2 was a little rough with a headache, plus we had a guest. We seem to have so many after we moved-I realized part of my eating problems is taking everyone around to eat the various local delicacies, and I definitely don't hold myself back! Yesterday was delicious sandwiches that they ate at the beach with beer. And food at the beach always tastes so good. I sucked down 4 lemonades all at once, and I managed to stay strong!

Going back to work today, my next day off is Wednesday (Day 5) so I'm hoping that will be a big detox day for me since I can be lazy!

Happy Monday and cleansing to you all!

I refuse to ever give in to the temptations that make me overeat in the past. I may go macro...not sure yet. There is a factor I can't identify that happens to one's mind when fasting. Has anyone noticed this? Sipping my tea for now...Here's to another week.
Hi Margie, I think we have cleansed at the same time before. Glad to see you again. I know what you mean about a sense of peace. Fasting for me seems to open something inside of me that causes me to look at everything in my life and question is that right for me. It is like walking around all day with a mirror in front of you, constantly. I walk away at the end feeling I know myself better now. Unfortunately, when we go back to the real world, there are factors that ALWAYS try to interfere with that enlightenment. The one thing I seem to be able to release within myself is overindulgence. Fasting has a way of knocking the desire to overindulge right out of your mindset. Thank you Margie, you have me thinking this morning. I am going to think more deeply on this today. Good distraction. How long are you going for? Have a great day today and talk to you soon.

Hello everyone, I am on day eight and am feeling really good . This particular detox I had a difficult period where on day three or four I became very fatigued to the point where all I wanted to do was sleep the whole day. This has never happened before but it did pass. I guess I had a lot of gunk to remove from my body. Once that passed I did deck work, very physical, and other house chores that needed attention. Also, in the past my severe nightmares which had always come on day three were very mild this time.

So I plan on doing a liver cleanse at the end, I did one at the beginning of this cleanse, which I have always found to produce great results. I will not do a liver cleanse at the beginning again as I feel this was the cause of my extreme fatigue on day three or four.

Hi, I ended my last (28 ) day cleanse on Aug. 2. Then followed two weeks of birthday celebrations and I have not managed to get back into good eating habits. I feel like my torso is a walking bowl of jello. But heavier. Heavy jello. yuck! In the past I have not had much success trying to do cleanses this close together. The main problem is getting motivated - so much of doing the cleanse is mental! But I made so much progress with my cleanses this year that I do NOT want to yo-yo and need to keep moving toward my goal - or at least maintain !! I tried to go on the cleanse Sat. and then again on Sun. but caved both days (it was raining and coffee sounded sooooo nice).

Decided I would try to get some support from the board to make it through these first 4 days. I woke up late and didn't have the time to do the SWF. But since it's day 1 for me, I know I will not be hungry until tonight. So, I'm going to spin class and doing the SWF when I get home. My scale broke and I have to get a new one - so right now I have no idea where I stand weight-wise - only know that my clothes are getting tighter and my abs are jiggling.

I only want to do 10 - 14 days just to get back to where I was, and then do a big Fall cleanse in October.

Hello again to TanyaZ, Otis, and Dollfacegreen !! (and any other frequent cleansers whom I may not have yet noticed on the BB!)

    Hi Lahontani!

Unless you've fasted all day even from water, you should wait until tomorrow morning to do the SWF. Just do tea tonight and start with the SWF in the morning. The SWF shouldn't be done if you've ingested anything ahead of time.

Good luck with this next cleanse -- it's kind of soon, though, so when you're done with this one, I hope you'll plan to give yourself a good several months' rest from them before starting again.

    Enjoy!

    Hi mtmouse!

Yes, I was planning on not eating or drinking anything before the SWF today. That's what I meant when I said I knew I wouldn't be hungry.
I will be drinking water, though, as I know this won't affect the SWF. I usually have 1 or 2 glasses of water in the morning before doing the SWF and have good results - no negative side effects. Drinking water first often helps me with the saltiness of the SWF because I find that I just can't deal with all that salt first thing in the morning unless I get that "morning taste" out of my mouth first by drinking water.

I just feel the urgent need to get back on track and so am only planning a short cleanse (10-14) to do that, then to continue on as originally planned.

Well, I still suggest you at least drink water during the day (especially if you're spinning!) and then do tea rather than the SWF.

I thought you had to wait 2-3 months between cleanses? You could weaken your body by "starting and stopping" too often?
    MC1 (2008?) - 19 days. MC2 (August/September 2009) - 16 days. MC3 (04/25/10) - 30 days. MC4 (08/08/10) - 25 days. MC5 (01/23/11) - Day 2.

Hey Alex, we are both on Day 8. Fatigue is a normal detox. I did a lot of sleeping on my first MC. Strangely after 1 year of eating normal, I am not having that much detox symptoms...mmmmm. How long are you planning to do the MC? On paper I'd like to do 15 but because my greatest temptations were this weekend, I have given myself 10 days (Wed.) but I am sure I will go pass that
