Thread: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

    Day 7
I'm only down 5 lbs so far, but that's okay because I mainly wanted to do this cleanse to break my bad eating habits that have slowly made their way back into my life over the past 6 months. Plus my pants weren't feeling too good, too tight.
I'm seriously thinking about going more than 10 days...I've never done that before but I've been having a pretty easy time of it so far and my tongue is still coated and yukky. Is it hard to go longer than 10 days? Or does it just become habit? Anyone who's gone past the ten day mark, feel free to give me any advice.
Whether you think you can or you think you can't , you're right.

    Yay for the yellow dress
Day 24 or 25. I'd like to be able to eat normally by Rosh Hashanah (September 8 ) but I'm considering extending the fast until the day before (30 days) and eat normally by my birthday (September 16) and Yom Kippur (the evening after).

When I first wore the dress a couple of weeks ago, I was told I looked like a daffodil!
    MC1 (2008?) - 19 days. MC2 (August/September 2009) - 16 days. MC3 (04/25/10) - 30 days. MC4 (08/08/10) - 25 days. MC5 (01/23/11) - Day 2.

    Hey!

I've actually never done a 10 day cleanse. My first one was 21 days. After that I think I did one for 14 days and all of the rest( quite a few) were 21. It's not hard at all! Many times I wanted to go longer and knew I could but had to stop for social reasons. I know for me I always need 3 weeks to get my mind where it needs to be to get back to healthy habits. The longer you go, the more time you have to think about what you want to do and plan.

I think the shortest cleanse I ever did was 14 days.

Hoping to go 36-40 days from end of January through beginning of March. No Jewish holidays in the way.

Otis - About the book you reccomended me, I have only read the first few chapters but I have decided to postpone reading the rest, because she makes me want to break my cleanse! She talks about fasting in a negative sense. How did you feel about that?

Well I am coming towards the end of Day 7 now. Today has been emotional, I find it really hard to get to grips with myself on these days and I so badly want to eat to 'feel better' Please tell me what you all do on these days.

I found day 6 and 7 both quite difficult. I so wanted to just chew and taste something. My only advice is to keep busy, take a walk, use a treadmill, whatever you have available. I guarantee the feeling will pass and by tomorrow you'll feel energized and eager to stay on the cleanse. Hang in there! You CAN do it!

Thanks for the welcome! I'm hoping you are right about the easier detox. As a matter of fact, I haven't had caffine for 4 years. I quit caffine when I went vegetarian 4 years ago. I've had a few cravings today, but nothing too severe so far. :-)

    Hello all,
I am on Day 2 of my second MC and it seems harder than when I did it the first time for 24 days, 2009. I thought returning to the bulletin board will remind of the invaluable benefits of doing the cleanse.
I am doing the tea morning/night. I haven't had a good BM since yesterday morning...and even that wasn't so good I have had 2 BM since today...nothing to talk about..tiny mushy...to liquid stuff. I feel like a need a good one.
Are there any newbies out there who wants to join me on the journey for support?
    Good luck everyone
