Good Morning. It has been about 5 months since my last cleanse. I had planned to do it in March but, life wouldn't let me so unfortunatly I had to be forced to with a mini breakdown.
Well, It is my 6th day. Yesterday was actually my worst day so far. I feel better today. It will be interesting to see how this cleanse goes. I had to end my last one after 15 days. This one I am hoping to stay on until my tongue turns pink.

I'm on Day 10....not sure if I should keep going or quit after today. This is my first MC and I am so proud to have made it this far. Don't know how much weight I have lost but I am still eliminating so it makes me think i shouldn't quit yet. But I am still having serious cravings for food, none of that has gone away and I am worried it never will....I love food too much!

Based on what I've read, 1 lb./ day seems like a reasonable expectation, although clearly not everyone achieves that.

I was very fatigued and napped for a few hours each of days 1 - 3. I don't know yet whether or not I will be doing so today. Between the VERY frequent trips to the bathroom and the fatigue, I cannot imagine how anyone managed to do this while working full time and/or managing a family.

Is fatigue sufficient to require naps of a few hours each day unusual?
I was pretty fatigued the first 3 days and did take naps when I thought I would just lay down for a few minutes. You'lll get passed that and have more energy.

I am not expert since this is my first cleanse of any kind but if you have been feeling down lately this is the thing for you! I have been so happy during this and it has given me some serious spring in my step. The days go by so fast and it gets way easier. Today I didn't think about food at all, not one bit. It gets to be a way of life and you start forgetting about it. The first few weeks I obsessed over it and it was all I could talk about or think about. Now it's getting to be old hat.
I know what you mean about people working. I work from home and couldn't imagine doing this around people at work.
As for being tired. I was too and still get that way sometimes. I sleep when I am tired and listen to my body. Get through that 1st week and you will be OK especially with the way your mood is going to elevate.

Try epsom salt baths and watch movies to pass the time. You will soon have a ton of energy.

I have lost between 13-15 lbs. I don't think women tend to lose as much as men so I am going to stay with it and try to knock off a few more lbs.

Keep it up and you will be so happy you did it. This is one of the best things I have ever done for myself! I hope you have the same experience. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer the ones I can with my limited knowledge.

Cool Re: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

Thank you, drexel and SO155, for your prompt and thoughtful responses.

drexel, thanks for the heads up about the impact of sex as an independent variable affecting the weight loss outcome. It makes sense... sigh.

It's now evening of Day 4. Technically I did not "nap" this afternoon, BUT I fell asleep from 6 until 8.30 and only got out of bed because I still needed to drink my Smooth Move tea.

So far it appears that Peter is correct in suggesting that we crave the foods whose remains are being "purged". For most of my life I ate the SAD. In the past several months, I have been eating a mostly healthy diet with one significant flaw. About 90% of what I ate was organic salad, a small amount of fresh seafood, eggs, brown rice, beans and WAY too much cheese.

And cheese is precisely what I've been thinking about for the last two evenings. I'm not sure I could hold on if I didn't manage to get to sleep early.

Right now the only things keeping me going are (1) Peter's prediction of significant mental gains on Day 8 and (2) memories of the "killer bod" I had years ago and dearly wish to recover!

    DAY 20
I am still going strong...a few days ago I felt light headed and ate half a grapefruit as this is also a cleansing fruit and as close to lemons as I know. I felt much better afterwards. I am down 24 pounds.

I'm going on another 10 and then I shall see...my tongue is still coated though a lot less...

Keep going everyone out there...the feeling you get from this cleanse is incredible! Everyone is noticing how much my skin texture has improved and looking younger...

Talking Re: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

This is the morning of day 2 for me. Before starting this, I lost some weight and tried to prep my body for a liquid only diet by eating green tea and fruit smoothies (and water of course). I did well on it since I loved my smoothies and they gave me a ton of energy, if I started feeling tired, one of those and about 2 minutes later I was back to normal. Because of that diet that I did for 2 weeks before the MC, I lost 6lbs! 5lbs of which came off within the first 4 days. Then I progressed onto the MC and plan on going at least 20 days, but would like to make it to about 40. I have had the worst of diets for a long time. I am not a veggie person, and when I am not trying to eat good, I don't eat much fruit. We eat out alot and we both know that needs to end. I am doing this to try to start clean and learn to eat better, to break some of the food addictions I have. I am a junk food/sweets junkie. Here is to starting fresh! Best of luck to everyone!

Wink Re: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

This is day 3 of my second MC, I'm planning on going 20 days this time. I barely lasted 10 days on my first MC, but I made it and was glad I did. It seems easier this time? I think it's because I had just started eating a vegan/macrobiotic diet 5 weeks prior to that cleanse, which seemed to make my craving even more intense.

Day 1 was hard, I kept thinking that maybe I should wait another month or two? I'm really good at procratinating! But then Day 2 came along and it was much easier. Maybe because I was pretty busy. The late afternoon seems to be the hardest for me, so I'm trying to think of ways to distract myself. I slept well last night and I usually have trouble sleeping, so that was a plus. This morning (Day 3) I woke up feeling great and got more done by 9am than I usually do by 11am.

Anyway I wish all you Lemonheads a happy energetic day!
