He said he had way more eliminations than ever before & they were more...ummm...substantial, not just liquid. We both eat a ton of sea salt normally so we wondered if our bodies were too accustomed to it? I hate to think I am retaining all that salt & water, but I am hesitant to try the club soda in case it effects any other aspect of detoxing. Has anyone tried this or is Peter out there somewhere? I have the book & have not seen anyone suggesting this method. I also want to mention that the laxative tea usually goes to work before I get to the flush, not sure if that makes a difference...

Now I realize that 3 tsp of coarse is probably 2 tsp of fine grind. Who knew? Not I!

As far as changing the plan I am not certain that is recommended?

The amount of lemonade - 6 10oz glasses is the minimum recommended amount. (Even though I have had trouble choking it down lately too!) Taking in fewer calories is probably not a good idea as far as maintaining metabolism.

Club soda instead of salt water - not sure about that either - the idea is that you are taking in a fluid with the same osmotic strength as your body so that it flows right through, flushing out your intestinal tract. The point about a teaspoon of coarse salt actually having a different weight than the fine ground is an excellent point (which as a chemist I should have thought of when my SWF hasn't been working as well as in the past) .

You have to do what's right for your body - but use caution with any modifications that you do - they are not proven and may or not have the results you hope for long term.

So happy today is day NINE!

So sick of lemonade that the salt water actually tastes good. Ten days is about right for me this time I think. Just needed to "reboot" so to speak and get back on tract as far as proper eating and exercise.

Making a shopping list for oranges and soup ingredients!

    One more day...

    Hey y'all~

I am on Day 5 of my 5th or 6th cleanse. I really cannot for the life of me remember which it is....Things are going well and I am cruising along. I am looking forward to eating again. I feed a family of 5 so I don't get many breaks when I do the cleanse. I still have to prepare most of the dinners. For the most part they are on their own for breakfast and lunch.

    Y'all have a great day!

Day one for me! I have done the cleanse in over two years, and I've never made to ten days. I'm hoping that I'll be able to complete my fast this time as I am truly doing it for health reasons (rather than just quick weight loss) and to cure myself of my nicotine addiction.

Thanks Sweetkeesha. I'm doing great this time around. Approaching the end of Day 10 for me. I'm on to the next day.... This has been an amazing journey, thus far. I am looking forward to a brand new day.

Near the end of day 6. Made it through a family party. I just avoided the whole food thing and played with the kids and told people I ate before I went to the party so I wouldn't have to keep explaining what I'm doing. I am having a hard time drinking 6 cups of lemonade.

So its day 8 and Im still alive lol...Im proud to say Ive made it this far. Its been up and down for me but Im hanging in there.

SO155 I know how you feel about the lemonade. For me its not that it tastes bad its just so redundant! Ive been doing two cups at a time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with plenty of water in between so that I make sure to get my 6 in.I also switch between drinking it hot like a tea and cold. It breaks it up for me a little bit.

    Good morning day TEN!

After the SWF I'm off to the store for breaking the fast and better eating there after.

All of you just starting - YOU CAN DO! Stick with the program and hopefully you will find inspiration from each other here.

To those finishing up or in it for a bit longer- thanks for sharing here. It really does make a difference to know others are out there, even if we don't get super chatty. Consider it like community service hours LOL...

Maybe I'll see a few of you in September for my next round.

CMack, I have a quick question: Is the 10th day of MC the day that you start the orange juice or is it the day after? Thanks
