Alright! Today is the beginning of Day 4. I'm doing alright. I was pretty close to breaking last night (I'm a stress/emotional eater), but I just drank my lax tea and went to bed early, rather than fighting with myself.
This was the first day I was able to do the SWF (due to my schedule). Unlike the last (aborted) cleanse of mine - the swf did not result in "butt pee" I had some eliminations, but nothing like before. I'm just going to continue drinking my lax tea, and doing the SWF.
I'm not feeling hungry, but I am having cravings. I want to eat. But not bad things, I want like, grilled chicken and veggies. Not french fries and a hamburger.
I woke up this morning feeling light-headed and shaky. The SWF almost made me sick. I don't have a problem getting it down - it takes me about 8 minutes to chug my nalagene. But now I've had about 12 oz of Lemonaide and I'm feeling better.
Because I'm on the go, I make 2 batches of lemonaid. One in the morning (32 oz) and one in the afternoon (32 oz) and then I carry it around with me everywhere I go. Although, after sitting for 2 hours or so, the cayenne pepper starts to get pretty hot!
So far, I've lost 3 lbs. My tongue is white and disgusting. I want to scrape it, but I'm not. I want an accurate view of my cleansing.
At the beginning of this I wasn't sure if I could do the 10 days. But now that I'm at Day 4, I think I might be able to do it. The boards mention that the first 3 days are usually the hardest- so maybe I've overcome the worst of it!
Thanks for the support guys and gals. I think by posting on here I'm more likely to stick to it!
Just popping in with a tip/admission... On about my day 15, I realized that I was straining too much pulp from my lemon juice. I was straining to get the seeds out, but I had been missing almost all of the pulp. When I switched to picking/fishing the seeds out, then I started to have a LOT more energy! I figured this out after reading these boards, that pulp is our friend. Hope that helps someone somewhere!

MC 3 Day 11......... Im feeling nasty today,,,, alot of junk coming out. Its absolutely amazing how much stuff can keep coming out of me even though I haven't ate in 11 days... I would say I was way past due for this cleanse...... Im still not hungry at all,,, food doesnt even look, or sound good. Im really looking forward to summer,,,, clothes will fit right and Ill feel amazing...... 9 days to go... Bring it on...
Mormor: sorry cant help you out,,,, My tongue always turns white almost immediately... Your oviously not as toxic as most of us... I cant imagine that you wont benefit from the cleanse tho... It would be interesting what others think

I have always used body lotions, soap, and makeup and still have wonderful results on the cleanse. One caveat: I always use hypoallergenic soap and lotions - NEVER deoderant soap!! Don't worry about the "no symptoms" days ~ enjoy them while you can. Some cleanses, you just don't notice the effects until the very end. Be assured the MC is cleansing you out in whatever way your body needs!
You might not have to go all the way to 3 tsps.Both previous days I didn't think the SWF did what it was supposed to do because I didn't eliminate much, so today I increased the salt to 3 tsp and, oh, my, what a difference. I really eliminated a lot more than either of the last two days. I had read somewhere in Peter's book that this might be necessary, and for me, apparently it is...Because I'm coming to the cleanse from the diet of a raw vegan, I wonder if the detox is hitting me sooner and harder. Thanks for any help.Maybe just 2-1/4 might be enough to get the results you need. Usually, the cleanse is not as harsh on vegans...but every body is different and every cleanse is different - all you can do is roll with it...
Don't feel bad about it - I'm in the same boat right now. A lot of us perseverant cleansers will fall off the wagon once in a while. Onward and upward!! (Or onward and weight downward...)
congratuations on quitting smoking! I've seen several cleansers on this board say that the MC made it easier for them to quit smoking, because their focus was re-directed from obsessing about cigarettes, and because instead of just quitting, they were detoxing all the nicotene residue out of their bodies. GOOD LUCK to you!!
April 5th became my new Day 1, as well ~ nice to be keeping pace with other cleansers!
Wow! it sounds like you might have an ulcer. Of all the reasons to quit a cleanse, it sounds like you have a legitimate medical concern. Because you have done cleanses before you know what feels right and what doesn't ~ take care of yourself and know that the master cleanse will be here waiting for you when you've healed your current stomach problem!
Hang in there! There are only a few days left, and you will be able to catch up on the weekends! The cleanse is so worth the effort! Also, sometimes high energy days kick in and then you get everything on your list done + more!!
Last time I did the cleanse there was a great deal of discussion on the boards about inaccurate Master Cleanse advice. There are alot of blogs and websites that are NOT official MC websites that are giving out mis-information. I am not familiar with "the Complete Master Cleanser" book, but both Peter's and Burrough's books say you can do the lax tea in the am as well as at night. It has been my personal experience that the tea is not nearly as effective as the SWF. I would encourage anyone having trouble with the SWF to read the SWF thread for hints on how to make it work easier.

Today is my new Day 4. I did not plan my start date as carefully as I should have. I didn't realize that I started 3 days before Easter. My son drove up to see me for Easter - it was a big surprise, as he hadn't been here for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. So I went off the cleanse on my night of day 3 and don't feel the least bit bad about it. We had a nice brunch on Easter Sunday, and I even made Easter Baskets for everyone...I made a small one for me - YES, with chocolate and everything - and made sure it was all gone by Sunday night, so I could re-start Monday morning. Monday, Apr 5 was my new day 1...I had more water and less lemonade than usual to try to flush out all the chocolate, etc. I am back on track, having now lost 9 lbs. total from my original start date of Apr. 1.
I am counting my days according to my second start date, but when I tally the results at the end of the cleanse, I will add in the first two days of my aborted attempt, because I did detox and lose weight on those days. Still going for a total of 21 - 28 days.
Days 3 & 4 are my hardest - so wish me luck. Tomorrow should be easy...![]()

Before the MC, I was in a very negative mindset, was on a low energy caffinated high/crash cycle, and my allergies were set on high. Day 8 of my 9th MC and I've felt like I've had much more energy than I've had in a long time.
Here are some of my random thoughts:
* Things have been relatively easy for me minus having realy really cold hands at work.
* My morning routine has been solid w/ the SWF, making my lemonade for the day, cleaning up and having some time before the SWF hits.
* I tend to use a half MS / half agave nectar and double the cayanne.
* The first few days I got to 9 or 10 lemonades and the last few I've barely needed 6.
* The super smell is there, but the cravings really aren't. I can smell food now and recognize what it is without the craving.
* Day 1-2 lots of trips to the bathroom during work hours
* Day 3 I watched an afternoon of food wars and don't want a return to gluttony
* Day 6 might have been a detox day given the eliminations... down right foul!
* Most of the allergies went away, but day 7 started off with a lot of nasal mucus. Day 8, too.
* Boo @ the timing of things... i want to extend the MC and eventually get a 40 day one under my belt.

Who else is out there from last time? I'm ready... I have eaten pure junk the last two days( so unlike me) and I feel so gross!!! I don't know how people eat this way all the time and feel decent. That being said, I can't wait to get the toxins out and feel clean again.

I am beginning my MC tonight! I'm very excited! About to drink my tea. I am a 26 year old female, and weigh 191 at 5'4" and I'm a size 12-14. My typical weight is about 140 at a size 8 or so, that's with regular exercise and your typical American diet. But in the last few years I've been traveling a lot and as a result, I'm eating even worse. I'm a typical SAD eater although I love it when I eat healthier. I can't wait for the desire to eat healthier. I'm tracking all my measurements and recording each day for myself to learn how the MC works for me. I know I will have lots of questions. Thanks Peter for your book and help!
