I am on day 19 of 30. I was shooting for 40 but I have a Vegas trip coming up and want to start getting myself into slowly getting food in my system. Not the bad foods but good ones. This is my second fast. I did one 5 yrs ago and lost 50lbs. It was a 30 day fast and I was at 250lbs. I dropped down to about 200 and then gained within 5yrs 18lbs which is not bad at all. Now I am working on getting down to 180 from 218. So far I am at 185 with 11 days to complete my 30 day fast. Crossing fingers that I will make it. Good luck to you all.

The book doesn't say to do one last SWF on the first ease out day. I just knew I wanted to do it since I had such a bad day yesterday and I wanted to make sure I flushed all that out. Interestingly enough, the BP is pretty clear today.

Excuse me, I'm like orgasmic over the OJ ....

So I decided that I'd make it through yesterday and ease out this morning. Last SWF down the drain. And OJ never tasted so good. Good luck if you are continuing on! And if not, be proud - did you ever think we would make it 23 days!?
Congrats!!! What an accomplishment, you must feel great!!! Good luck on maintaining a healthy lifestyle!

I haven't been on in a few days, been bogged down with studying! I see lots of posts to go thru!

It is day 6 for me and going good, I had to up my salt to 3 teaspoons this morning and the results have been better...I have't been going thru any real detox symptoms, but my tummy grumbles like I am hungry much more than it did last time around..drinking plenty of LA's and water though, so I guess it is just one of those things!!!!
    Hope all are doing well!!!

Question Re: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

I am new to the Master Cleanse and am attempting to flush my kidneys. I have just had Lithotripsy and will have to go back for one or two more blasts (stone crushing).
I am taking an antibiotic prescribed by the surgeon. Following the Cleanse obsessively, want to avoid ever having renal toxicity again, let alone stones. So far, day 2, I have no complaints at all, it is going really well, a mild headache this morning on waking soon dissipated.
Plenty of time left to complete the cleanse. Don't return to work until the 22nd.

Question: Would it be advisable to take a probiotic during the cleanse?

    Hi All,
Day 3 for me and all is well. Feeling good, although cold. I have lost 6 lbs. so far. Yea! Worked with my horse yesterday and ended up cleaning ALL the stalls out cause I felt like it. Today my arms are very sore
I have been doing the tea and am a bit afraid of the SWF, because sometimes it does not work and I feel horrible all day from the salt. I am going to wait a few more days till most of the recent SAD junk is gone from my system. I know I'm a big chicken but I feel pretty good and don't want to screw that up.
DRBREW and Katlady: Congrats on your completed cleanse. You are both an inspiration. Hope to see you next cleanse.

Slimjam: I too have trouble getting all the lemonades and water down. But I get very weak mentally and physically if I don't. Glad you are feeling better. Sounds like you had a nasty detox night.

    Keep on squeezing, Jenni

So sorry to hear about your dad. And amazing that you can look at this as a space of learning while still in the middle. You are inspirational! I'm sending good thoughts for your father and you!!!

    Keep your head up!!

    Hiya Folks,

Ok... so I started over. So, today is day 1. This has been the HARDEST of any of the MCs that I've done--but it has been quite some time since I've done one. I feel like I am struggling for a number of reasons. First off, I have not been eating in a healthy way and my exercise regimen has been WAYYY off for a while. I am a vegetarian, but I've been eating a lot of junk over the course of the last few months... really since Thanksgiving. When the fresh local farm produce disappeared, it seems my enthusiasm for healthy eating also dipped away. Also, I have not cleansed in a long, long time... at least 2 years. Finally, I feel like my life is chaos, right now. I have a great life, but I'm still adjusting to my most recent changes. I am in grad school (first year) and have restarted my life--this is after many many years of being in the workplace. I might as well restart my system, as well. Anyway, I am doing this as a way of resetting my eating habits, facing the Spring, and reorganizing myself from the inside.

I appreciate the board and all of the support that you all offer to one another and to newbies. You all are awesome.

Can some folks please share *why* they've decided to do a MC?

One more question... sorry, I''m thinking of them as I clean the house:

What about drinking the lemonade warm? I, too, have BIG troubles with getting cold... like super-duper scary cold. I'm thinking about the lemonade at the temp of tea--not boiling water, as that would kill any of the enzymes in the lemon and the syrup... any thoughts???

No problem, except as you say, about the enzymes. The way around that is to heat (warm) the water first, then make your lemonade. Don't heat up the lemon juice or MS, but just add it to hot water. That works fine.

    Enjoy!
