    hey everyone, day 10. yesterday was such a bad day. i was so hungry, i would eat anything in sight. i was ready to give up but i know i can't. i was gone do 10 days, but i extended it by another week, cause i have a big party that weekend so i have to loose some weight, since all my friends are skinny, i don't want to look like an elephant next to themi'm a litle worry about this weekend. i always schedule my cleanses where i don't have anything planned, but suddenly some family members and friends decided they want to come overand they always bring some delicious food with them, i don't know what i'll do, maybe hide in my room
    Tanyal1, thanx for the concern. i did wait over a year to start this cleanse, and like i mentioned before, the little of the organic liquid vitamins that i add to one of my drinks, helps me to have the strenght, and lets me keep going. if at any point i feel weak i know i will have to stop the MC, like i had to do in one of the previos ones.
    C Mack, i know what u mean about the lemons. Last time i did the MC i found tiny ones. this time i couldn't find any. i went to 3 different stores, and one didn't have them and in 2 others they were sold out. i thought who buys all these organic lemons, and then i started thinking, could it be that so many people r doing the MC. finally, i found them in shop rite, and they are huge, i was so happy i bought all 55 of them
    good luck everyone, i know some days are harder that others. i just keep thinking that there are so many others that r doing the MC at the same time as me and also have some rough days. i'm glad we can all complain to one another and know nobody will judge us and tell us how crazy we r.

    Day #2 for me. Usually days 3 & 4 are my tough ones, and I barely notice days 1 & 2. But this time yesterday was very hard, so I am expecting 4 full days of trials and tribulations before I get into proper "cleanse mode." I may be on the BB a lot in the next few days for re-enforcement! My SWF elimination was really disgusting today - don't remember seeing it like this before: frothy and smelly, like the worst diarrhea from the worst possible stomach flu. No wonder I've been depressed lately, if THAT was inside of me!!! Or it could have been the eggs....I hardly ever eat eggs, but at the beginning of Oct., I bought a jumbo sleeve of English muffins and made myself an Egg McMuffin for breakfast every day for two weeks. Then I decided I wanted to try cooking some of the gourmet recipes that I never cook (because I don't usually eat that way) and made three different kinds of souffles (tomato/basil/cheddar, chocolate mocha, & hot lemon/lime). So maybe nasty, frothy diarrhea is the result of eating eggs....
    I'm not going to weigh myself until I start feeling skinny again. Who knows how long THAT will be!

Sounds reasonable to me, considering how out-of-the-blue those cravings come sometimes.
    At 23 days, if you were to break the fast with those foods you would have serious stomach cramps. I used to think that I could start eating regular foods right away after a cleanse, but NO - one time I had lasagna (after one oj day and one soup day) and I spent the entire night running to the bathroom! It was horrible! So, trust me, you really don't want to break the fast any way except the recommended way!! (This actually makes it easier for me to stay on longer cleanses, just knowing that I CAN'T quit now, even if I really want to.)
    When I have busy days, or when I was taking classes, I would make 3/4 of a days worth of lemonade and take it with me in a thermos. It's not as good as making it fresh each time, but was the only way I could stay on the cleanse through school. My first lemonade in the morning was fresh, and also my last one at night. The rest I carried around with me all day. At the beginning of the day, the LA is really concentrated. Then every hour or so, I put in some ice cubes (school cafeteria), which keeps it chilled and fresh throughout the day. By the end of the day, it's very weak and diluted, but still fresh! Try it!

    When I saw Peter G. posted I was surprised too! Was thinking maybe things had changed and he was here more? Maybe he's always here lurking about.... making sure we're all on track but not in a weird stalker type way of course! LOL
    I was wondering that, too. So I did a thread search for posts under Peter's name and the only two posts in this thread are the starter post and then this recent one. So maybe it's a fluke, and he just happened to be going through the boards when that question came up? Maybe he's reading this right now....LOL. I posted something a while back that said I thought of Peter as the Lemonade Santa Claus: "he sees you when you're sleeping, he knows..." well, I actually meant more that he gave us the gift of this BB (and his book) and he shows up once a year (around Christmas) and starts a New Year's thread. I also can't help thinking that the picture on the home page, with the glasses and the beard and the grin, looks kind of like a young Santa Claus. (Hi, Peter, when you see this ~ it's all meant in fun and kindness ).

    My hubby did a 14 day cleanse two weeks ago and did very well. It's day 1 for me. Surprisingly, I had no cravings at all but I was hungry. I had lemon juice every hour until late afternoon. I was sluggish and sleepy so I took a nap which helped but I could not do much. Will take it easy for the rest of the evening.

    Thanks to everyone for the words of support.

    Right! This is what makes the longer cleanses easier. I find if I'm having a really bad day that makes me want to quit (like yesterday), by the next day (when I would have to start the OJ), the urge to quit is gone. I really want to go for at least 30 days or until the junk food cravings are gone. I also really wanted to get to 150 for this cleanse and I am now at 157 so it would be a shame to give up when I am so close to my goal.

    It's Day 24 now so I guess I only have six more days (or 16 if I go to 40 days).

    Thanks for the support! The funny thing is I don't drink a lot of caffeine. I don't like coffee and I only drink maybe one soft drink a week.

    Where is everyone? I'm used to getting up late in the morning and reading everyone's posts from earlier time zones while I wait for the SWF to work.

    Since there's nothing posted yet for today (except maybe some newbies' posts which haven't shown up yet, I guess I'll just ramble on....

    yesterday was an easy one for me, except I was very hungry and had a lot of lemonades. I had planned on starting the cleanse right after Halloween; thought I'd wait one extra day to make sure all the good candy was out of the house, then start. But then my co-workers were talking about having a get together Friday or Sat. night. I thought I'd wait til after that was over. Then on Nov. 1, got an email saying it was too hard to find a night everyone could make it in Nov., so we were moving it to Dec. Great!! So I started the cleanse the next day. Then last night I was told the party is back on for this Sat. It's a pizza party to watch 2 people's vacation slides. So it's going to be sitting in the dark, smelling pizza, watching slides. Hard to distract yourself from the smells. Not sure I'm going to go, even though everyone is asking me to, and it was partly my idea in the first place (but not the pizza part). The last thing I want to do is quit the cleanse over pizza - the only pizzas I even like any more are white sauce or pesto vegetarian ones, with very little cheese. I told them to put pineapple and pepperoni on all the pizzas so I wouldn't be tempted.

    Today is day three. Still haven't weighed myself. I feel good, but I don't feel skinny yet.

    Not good at using computer, so hope I'm at the right place to ask a question.
    I am on day 3 of the MC and have had a mild headache off and on that isn't really a problem. However, when I went to bed last night I had low back pain and aching in my knees. I felt better this morning, even before the salt water cleanse, but now the pain is back. I am 59 and have always eaten the SAD, tho was good about fruits and vegetables and not so heavy on the meat, processed foods, and fatty or fried.
    Am I really that toxic that I have to be in pain? (Also, I am really tired. But I haven't had any food cravings yet!) I am doing everything by the book, but HATE the pepper, haha.

    You can adjust the amount of cayenne "to taste," so find a level that is workable for you. Your tolerance for the cayenne will improve the more cleanses you do. The headache is most likely caffeine detox. It usually only lasts about 2 days. For me days 3 & 4 are the hardest. Yes, the aches and pains may be you detoxing. Again, those symptoms shouldn't last more than 2 days, as long as you stay on the cleanse, do the tea and the SWF. Try soaking in epsom salt baths to ease the aches and pains.

    Hang in there; it's worth it!!

    Thanks for your response. I haven't had much caffeine the past several years - 1 or 2 cups coffe per day. But in the far past I drank diet sodas and ate chocolate by the truckload! Is that what I have to detox? (You would think I weighed a ton, but only about 10 pounds overwt. And I've lost 4 already)

    Hi Lahantani,i'm in the same boat as u. out of nowhere i have people, who invited themselves lol coming over on saturday. i was to embaressed to say no to them, and now i'm wondering what am i gone do. they already said they r bringing food with them. none of them know i'm on MC and i don't really want to tell then exactly what it is, cause they would make stupid comments. maybe i'll tell them that ,day before i ate so much and now i'm not feeling too wellbut i know looking at it and especially smelling it will drive me crazy. it will be a long and very sad, night for mei just hope i will be able to say no. it's one thing when u don't have food in front of u or someone is eating in another room, but once everyone is sitting behind the table and stuffing their faces, i will have to hide and once in a while take a sip of the lemonadei wish u luck on saturday, and i'll be thinking about u and know u r suffering as much as i do
