Day 1 didn't work out so well... the day went okay and I did the SWF with no problems. I was even able to avoid all post halloween candy at work today! However, I only had three glasses of lemonade today and by the time I got home I was beyond hungry. I just couldn't look at another glass of lemonade... so the bad part, I had a bowl of broccoli. So, tomorrow with be the new day 1 and I am going to try my hardest to get moving forward.

I am at the end of day 12. 3 more days to go for me. I am really struggling. I am so sick and tired of being tired. I feel like I am floating outside my body. It is hard to focus and reading (my fav past time) is not worth it. I can barely focus on the words let alone make sense of them
I am so glad that I made it this far. I just wish the last few days didn't have to be this big of a struggle.
Halloween and it's many parties were not a problem. The candy doesn't even look good to me. The regular food looks and smells wonderful. I am craving protein. It isn't just a detox symptom either. The craving has been with me for days now.
I have lost 12.5 pounds so far. Tongue is still white.

Hi Everyone, I have just finished my 3rd Master Cleanse. Did the 1stin 2008, 2nd, June 2010 and now the 3rd. About 3 months ago, I had to finally give in to the doctor and go on Blood Pressure Medication as my blood pressure reading was 196/110! On day nine of the cleanse (last Friday) I went to the doctor for a repeat of my medication and my blood pressure was 107/70 . She asked me what I had been doing to get my blood pressure so low. I told her about the Master Cleanse and expected derision, but she was fascinated and said "Well whatever works go for it".

So for those who have Blood Pressure problems do the Master Cleanse. I am trying to stick to a vegetarian diet.

I just read the book (most of it), went shopping, and had a cup of herbal laxative tea before heading to bed - tomorrow is Day 1!! I can't wait.
Here is my question: I have not seen anything regarding vitamins or supplements. Do I just forget about them? I normally take a daily multiple vitamin, Vitamin E (to control hot flashes), Omega 3, and glucosamine chondroitin.
Since I won't get an answer for 24 hours, I guess I'll try not taking any of them tomorrow.

Not that I'm a veteran as I've only done the master cleanse once before however I did it for 21 days and thought I could offer a few tips: 1) avoid the grocery store and lunch rooms as the smells will make you drool...best to have someone do the shopping or to make it quick and get out of there pronto. 2) No supplements. I too am a supplement freak but this is a cleanse and suplementation disrupts the process. 3) Try limes instead of lemons. I like the lemons best as limes are a bit sour however after a few days I switch the lemons for limes to break the monotony. 4) I read days 2, 3 and 7 are the hardest. Last time day 3 for me was the worst as my joints ached. I read on this board dissolving mineral deposits surrounding the joints created the aches. I took advil as it was just too painful but only for that day and then i felt better. 5) I tell no one I'm cleansing. People can be so negative and think you are starving. Ugh!! It's no one's business. 6) To the lady who is not eliminating, try Dieter's Tea. I know we are supposed to use Smooth Move but for me Dieter's tea works much better. Hang tough lemonheads!

My blood pressure was 80/60 after completing the lemonade diet. Pretty remarkable I'm even alive with numbers like that!

Try to have your lemonade as your would meals and snacks. I have a breakfast lemondade, morning snack lemondade, lunch ( sometimes 2), aftrnoon snack, etc...keeps the blood sugar level even and the tummy full. I don't sip the lemonade, I gulp it down for the fullness it offers.

Day 4. My sleeping patterns are erratic. I was awake at 3:00 AM, after 3 1/2 hrs sleep, then fell asleep for 2 more hours. The most exciting thing....While I was awake at 3:00AM, I had my last Cigarette. 7 hrs later, the cravings come and go. I am trying to be stern with myself, because I really want to be rid of this habit/addiction.
I feel a little dry, ans dehydrated. I have been drinking 80 ounces or more (never less) of plain water, in addition to the Lemonade, and occasionally Cups of hot water. It's difficult to drink any more.
Oh well, I guess I will just let it ride, and see how this plays out.

I required much less sleep while cleansing. Think it's because we are hungry...

Good For you Doc! You must be glowing!!

Thanks very much for your tips! I left out the supplements. I have only just started and I already see why everyone talks about their bowel movements, haha.
