Good for you Mhaus!!! Day 4, you are truly in the mix of things. How long are you going for? I have a better quality of sleep also while I am cleansing. I just have to make myself get to bed at a decent hour. I usually have really vivid food dreams by now, but for some reason I haven't had one in 35 days. I miss waking up in a sweat, thinking I cheated and then realize, whewww just a dream. I wish I didn't have the night sweats still, but that comes with the territory. Glad you are here.![]()
Weepy! Like total PMS want to cry for no good reason at the drop of a hat weepy. And I know it's not PMS cause I had that on day 2. And it's only day 10 for me. I just finished sitting with the HBU and kids watching them eat the dinner I cooked. I'm feeling like going up to my room and hiding and watching garbage on TV for the rest of the night, but I have work to do.
Hey - but don't let me bring ya down! I just wish I had a more long term mindset. But I'll wait and decide tomorrow if it's another LA day or not. Not capable of deciding tonite.
I know that feeling. This is the only time I haven't felt that way. Today is 35 and I am ready for 40 to get here already, but we will see how I feel on day 40. I just love the feeling of clean and the light feeling that you can't get from eating food. Whether you continue or stop, it is what you do afterwards that makes a difference also. Supporting you either way!!
I just read your last post. No need to decide tonight, right? and You are in no way bringing me down. Be proud of what you have accomplished. It is a new day tomorrow.

Lambchop welcome and good for you for pre planning. Did you read the section on here for newbies? It will give you tons of info to help also. Glad to have you on the team. What is your goal time and what is your reason for doing the cleanse? I would love to hear if you don't mind sharing.![]()
Sounds like you have a lot of stuff moving its way out. Wonderful!! I love that clean feeling. I tried to get my husband to do it with me, but he says he would rather be my supporter on the side lines. lol He is a southern man(SC) and loves southern cooking. One day at a time is all we can do. Many blessings to you and your husband.
MC 11, finishing day 35 of 40. YAAAAAY
I am seeing why my beginning was so easy, the ending is making up for it. So many emotions coming to the surface. What a day of purging. I am exhausted from the release. But, do I feel better for it, YES!!! I am glad I have given myself this challenge and I can tell the difference in do 30 days and doing 40 days. This go round I think I am knocking out some old old stuff. At the end of 30 days, there were times I felt I needed to go longer, but I just didn't want to. Now, I feel my body has really gotten into some stuff that needed to be gone a long time ago. Yaay, now if I stay with good habits, I won't need 40 days again.
I am going to carry over this same determination to my eating habits for the rest of the year. Also to help keep me focused, I will begin P90X again on October 8th and that will take me right up to the January cleanse. There, I have told you all the plan and now I have witnesses. I can't back out of the plan now. Whewww, that felt good.
Hey Ursa, thanks for your encouragement, I appreciate you being here.
Everyone have a blessed and wonderful day tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how everyone is doing?
Hello everyone, this is my first post, I appreciate the opportunity to read about your experiences and also share my own. I wish to make MC will be part of my health routine from now on; this is why I am a bit concerned about tomorrow's morning.
Today was my third day. My first two days went great, although I used senna as laxative tea and was too strong, so I changed to Smooth Move last night.
This morning I wake up more bloated that the previous days. After one hour I only went one's to the toilet, I did not wanted to wait because I have to go to work, so I drink the salt water, after which my belly become huge and very uncomfortable, and I was very nauseated. When finally I started to go to the bathroom, the flushed burned my rear end, and even bleed a bit. Hurt all day.
Before this fast my urine pH was 6.5 not too acidic. I am vegan for the last three years and a lacto vegetarian for 40 years. I was drinking organic coffee every morning for long time, and quit couple weeks ago...?
I am not sure what to do. Should I go back to senna tea? should not do the salt water just for tomorrow? do Smooth Move tea tonight and tomorrow morning instead of the salt water? what will be least strong acid flushing? or please suggest what to do. Thanks.
I am intending to do MC for 21 days. I will continue to read your posts which I found very helpful, in addition to the book.
Welcome hladinishakt, so glad you joined us. Smooth Move is a good tea to use. It is not unusual to have a burning elimination, but blood in it is not a good thing. If there is blood just on the tissue and not in the toilet, then it could be from wiping when you were sensitive. When you have a burning elimination, it is just toxins releasing and too much cayenne pepper can contribute also. I am sorry you are having a hard time right now, things will work out. Are you drinking the salt water as soon as you get up and how long is it taking to work? Usually the salt water will work between 30min and 2 hours. I give myself 2 1/2 to 3 hours for it to finish before I start my day.
I just want to restate how you should be doing it to make sure you have it. Have 6-12 glasses of lemonade per day, drink half your body weight in water (ozs)(150lbs drink 75 oz of water), laxative tea in the evening and salt water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If you can't tolerate the salt water, have the laxative tea AGAIN in the morning. However, the tea in the morning will have you going to the bathroom all day. Everything you described (except the blood) is normal. It all goes away after you are finished with a good flush. I hate when I get the burning elimination, not fun at all.At least I am getting stuff out though.
Good for you with a goal of 21 days, keep your focus and you will do just fine. One question I like to ask newbies is What is your motivation for doing the cleanse? I would love to hear. Hang in there, you have all of us to cheer you on. I hope tomorrow is better for you.![]()
