I am taking a much needed epsom salt bath as my food eating husband is having his delicious smelling dinner. Is this grounds for divorce? Noooooo....if he wasn't so supportive it just might be. He always has a guilty look on his face before he eats, sweet guy. Anywho, I just wanted to say I love this board and the people who are here with me sharing our joys and our pains. I hope you don't mind if I steal a little extra strength from each of you to keep from biting my husband's lip if he smells like chicken. TO US!!!!!!

    Default Day 6

I'm really starting to breath better and my head is really feeling lighter and less clogged. I used my neti pot last night and this morning and noticed a big difference over how it felt last time I used it just the day before. My tongue also looks better but still not truly pink. I woke up early because the tea was knocking pretty loudly at 3:55am but went back to bed for over an hour after answering that call. I didn't drink my saltwater until close to 6:30, have had a few glasses of water and am going to make my first lemonade when I finish this post. I feel good, just a bit tired from waking up so early.

dollfacegreene, I'm sorry you had a rough morning with the saltwater but really glad to hear things all worked out and you moved on to have a good day. Epsom salt baths are the best! You are so funny about your husband! Does he at least brush and rinse after a meal so as not to put stress on you by smelling like such a tasty meal?

Bubbles_erin, welcome to the party! Wow, 25 days on your first clenase? I'm impressed. Do you know how long you will do this cleanse? Maybe you forgot how rough the first couple days can be since you had a lot more days of cleansing that were after that. ? Then again, maybe this one really is more difficult if you've fallen into some bad eating habits since then. Hang in there and stay with us! You already know it will get better and be so worth it.

fit4teen, everything you describe makes me think you are dehydrated. Even though you are drinking lemonades and water, maybe you need an additional few glasses of water each day. It's amazing how much water we need while we are cleansing. How many glasses/oz are you drinking (not including lemonades, tea, and saltwater of course)?
As far as being tired, for me it's from waking up too early due to the tea and/or having to pee. I have tried steeping it less but that doesn't change things for me. I just do my best to deal with it.

katlady, it's a double edged sword sometimes to have the enhanced sense of smell from cleansing! Maybe someday your husband will cleanse with you but at least you are doing something wonderful for yourself. My mother didn't do a cleanse until after my last one so you just never know.

cuckoo, wow, you are in the home stretch. Have you figured out what veggies you are going to get for your soup? I think I mentioned yesterday that I already stopped in my neighborhood organic store to discuss veggies for the end of my cleanse. I just wanted to know what would be available and see what they could get in for me with the advanced notice since it's just a tiny boutique grocery. I am pretty sure I'm just going to go with 10 days too.

Ooops, I lied... changed my mind. I'm drinking lemonade now since it's taking me forever to finish this post. hahaha I couldn't wait until I was done and got up to make some in the middle of it. I wish I could go back to bed, I'm so tired. I fall apart when I don't get enough sleep, it's a lifelong sensitive issue for me physically.

Hi Ursa--I have a minestrone recipe that I love love love, so I think I am going to make it without the pasta and just not eat the beans for the first few days. I am also struggling getting organic produce; I have been to several different health food stores (all anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes away from home) and still had to resort to non organic lemons today. Hope you get some rest today--best wishes.

Hi! I just joined this morning and I have no idea how to join the board, well I joined but I don't know how to participate. Am I participating?

I am starting my cleanse on October 1 and want to be a part of this online community.

    Thank you,
    Lambchop

    Default Day 6 still morning

cuckoo, I had the same problem and had to get conventional lemons the other day. I'm going to try again today to see what I can find. They were all over the place and suddenly there are just none in the city. Next time I cleanse I think I will just have them shipped through this site. I have a weakness for using beans in my veggie soups too. lol I think I will just make a small batch with veggies only but make a bigger batch with beans for later. Same overall work, just two pots on the stove, right?

lambchop, welcome to the mix! Have you read Stanley Burroughs' book and do you have all your ingredients ready? Is this your first cleanse? I'm sure you will find all kinds of helpful advice and encouragement here. Bravo to you for coming in early to make a positive start! If you haven't, make sure you stock up lots and lots of purified or spring water. In addition to the quart of saltwater, lemonades, and nighttime tea, you will need to be drinking at least as much additional water as lemonade each day. I tend to go through more than a gallon, probably close to two, per day while cleansing.

Thanks for the tip Ursa I dont think I can fit more than 6 drinks in one day anyway yesterday I only managed to get 4 in I think that effected the SWF this morning because it didn't come out. I am drinking plenty of water though.

Day 2 for me, I still don't feel hungry but I do feel a little weak I have a feeling this detox is going to be tough on my body but I am looking forward to day 15!! I know I will feel great!

    Heys...

I'm new here... been lurking for over a week trying to find out as much info as possible. It's my day 4 today (my first ever cleanse) and I think I am going strong. Does anyone here notice that you get much better sleep with this cleanse? I have always had problems sleeping.. No problems falling asleep but just poor quality sleep where u wake up tired and almost hangover like. These past 4 days I have been having restful sleep with pretty vivid dreams... some food related of course! I woke up refreshed and hungry but the lemonade takes care of it. I tend to sleep a lot earlier too so I can look forward to the next day. Oh.. and my sleep is a lot more comfortable. I don't get overheated at night and break out in sweat. It's almost like sleeping on a floating cloud.

    Day 4 yeay!

tata001, you really have to have at least 6 lemonades. I have days where it's really hard because I just don't want that many but I just make myself do it even if I don't finish the last glass until 8pm.

Mhaus, I envy you for all the great sleep. My quality of sleep is terrific while cleansing and my dreams are also pretty vivid but I don't get nearly enough. lol The tea and all the fluids I'm drinking wake me up for one reason or the other and I'm not the type that can fall back to sleep. I can get back in bed to relax or to try to sleep but I never do fall back.

    Hi, mtmouse!

All's well here, ran some errands. I ended up having to settle for conventional lemons again though.
