Calculating 51 days from today means I can do it again end of October and still be able to enjoy the holiday with my family as that will give me at least 3 weeks for my second cleanse.

Really excited to have processed sugar eliminated and plan on keeping my portions small and healthy with lots and lots of vegetable. I don't see how EVOO can spoil a salad? Olive oil is one of the 7 miracle foods. I plan to use it sparingly but need the fat, my skin is dry as dry can be. Should I wait a week or so to add eggs and fish? Not sure about chicken..It can be so contaminated. Think I will pass on cheese too for awhile. May add tofu sytle later.

Thank all of you for your support and encouragement. Almost apologized for quitting but I'm not going to do that. I did good and last 11 days longer than I planned.

Go with your gut. If you are ready to end it then do it! 21 days is a huge accomplishment! I have read articles on evoo regarding how it affects greens positively. They say that when you use it on your salad you are absorbing more of the nutrients from the greens than you would with no oil at all. Google this and you can find articles on this. That being said... I don't always use it but when I do I just use a small amount. Here is the issue about how soon to eat fish or chicken. I don't eat chicken but I do eat fish. Everyone one is different. I can tell you I eat solids right away and have never had a problem or gotten sick. I'll eat a raw zucchini pasta tomorrow night which is my first day off. I am NOT encouraging or advocating this for anyone else! I'm just saying I am able to do it with no stomach discomfort in the least. But you may be different. You can try a small portion of something and stop and wait to see how it affects you if you decide you want something more substantial. I don't eat meat or dairy so I'm certain that helps. I do strictly veggies and some seafood.

It sounds like you have a great game plan for your future food choices! That's the mindset to be in coming off of it and beyond. I'm easing off tomorrow too! Only one more swf to go!!

Congratulations on a job well done! No need to apologize AT ALL!! You exceeded your goal and improved your health tremendously! As for when to add the meat, Burroughs says, "FOURTH DAY: Normal eating may be resumed, but best health will be retained if the morning meal consists of our type of lemonade or fruit juice; and , of course, if a strictly fruit, vegetable, seed and berry diet is followed. If, after eating is resumed, distress or gas occurs, it is suggested that the lemonade diet be continued for several more days until the system is ready for food. " (pg. 27). From this we can conclude that you CAN eat meat and fish, or eggs, or even cheese, on day 4, BUT that the longer you put it off (even indefinitely), the better. Also, if anything you add: meat, eggs, cheese, disagrees with you, then you can "reset" yourself with a few meals of lemonade, and don't eat that thing so soon any more.

    ---
It is the end of day 9. Have been so stressed about money that I haven't been able to focus and have only had 2 lemonades all day. I'm sure that's only making things worse, but I just can't focus on doing the cleanse. I'll try to see if a peppermint tea and epsom salt bath lifts my spirits. The good news is today is almost over and tomorrow is another day. I'll probably be ravenous tomorrow.

    Day 16
I wonder why I have a pink tongue already. Does that mean that I got rid of all my toxins??
I got a 2 week free pass to 24 Hour Fitness and I am taking advantage of it. Today I did 1.2 hour on the treadmill. Rowed for 5 minutes. Did 90 sit ups and stretch exercises (I have a routine for 20 minutes) and then I went into the jacuzzi and sauna. I am super relaxed and ready for a night on the computer and to bed by 11pm. Having that workout makes me feel good. Actually I was so busy today at work that I am only now drinking my second container of lemonade at 8:30pm.

Yesterday I used the scale at the gym and it said I was 145 pounds, but my scale says I am 140 so that was a little disheartening for me. But I did start with my scale weighing myself and so it seems right. The clock at the gym was 10 minutes behind so maybe their scale is wrong too!

I am looking forward to the Zumba class on Friday. I have no idea what Zumba is.

Margie5125 -- Congratulations!! I also am doing 21 days (I was going for 22, but then realised I need to stop a day earlier for the wedding rehearsal dinner. You mentioned that you can do the MC again in 51 days. Where does that figure come from? I thought it was every 3 months.

Well, I have 6 days to go. Keep up the good work everyone. I actually am starting to get peckish when I see food, but I have to stay strong. By the end of the MC, I usually feel like I am leaving an old friend too, and of course I am proud of myself for having the determination and will power and drive to keep going to reach my goal. It is really like anything else....a commitment to persevere to accomplish what will help you alone that no one else can even do for you. It's really worth it!!

Someone from this board said to cleanse one time within every 90 days. If the average cleanse is 3 weeks then it would be approximately 51 days when ending a cleanse to starting a new one... or something like that..

I knew then that it was me just wanting food which is never the right reason to end a cleanse because the food will always be there. I was wondering how I could get through the next 4 days... But then something happened, I woke up and did the swf and eliminated and those cravings were gone and they have not been back since! These last 3 days( which I thought would be my hardest) were easy! Yes, easy! I'm looking forward to all of my greens and more greens, YET... I took them home yesterday and was in the kitchen and hour and a half just cleaning and prepping everything but I'm not overly anxious at all which really surprises me. . It's almost like I feel weird about the thought of eating again, like it's wrong.... So now I know it's fine for me to come off. NO way would I go near the fatty foods that make me feel gross. I watched triple d last night, same type of food on it. It was NOT appealing to me. Big difference. Thank god!

You're doing extremely well. The cravings will pass, make sure they are gone before you come of the cleanse.

Thanks, Lynda! I took my man out and watched him eat pasta (I nursed hot water with lemon as they had no herbal tea) and found it satisfying to smell it. That was nice because we haven't gone out much with me cleansing.

Today was a better day. CONGRATULATIONS ON 30 DAYS!!!! WOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Today was a good day. I was off work, for one, and very productive. I had initially planned to run in the am and then beach all day, BUT life had other plans.

We got in a 10 mile run, which was great. I skipped the SWF and was planning to do it after the run. For some reason the lax tea that I drank last night hit me pretty hard. I had 4 BMs before we left the house. We were about 1.5 miles in when I knew I was going to have to go again. Major cramping and discomfort and then finally found a Port A Potty about 4.5 mile in (ew). It helped and made it a little easier to get through the run. I went again after getting home so decided to forgo the SWF today. Then I had TWO more throughout the day, which is very unusual for me. Felt like a serious detox day and remotivated me to keep on truckin' til I'm all clear.

I spent the rest of the day talking to various people and confirming wedding details. I had no idea it was so freakin' complicated! I knew we should have eloped to Fiji! Ah well, it should be a magnificent day. Is it sad that one of the things I'm really looking forward to is the food? Duck for dinner, cupcakes for dessert...I plan to be super raw and healthy most of the time following the cleanse, so I think it will be a well-deserved (and much needed) treat.

I hope you all had a great day! I think about you a lot during the day and it makes such a difference in my mood and motivation to think about the support we have on this board. I think I've officially converted to cleanse-a-holism...4 times a year at least! I got my dehydrator yesterday and I'm excited to learn cool ways to use it after I'm done cleansing.

    Good night!

When I read your posts, Ahuahu, I always think of two friends who moved to Hawaii a few years ago, and have wondered, "wouldn't it be funny if this was her that I was talking to and didn't even realize it!" Then you said your fiance's name is Mike...and HIS name is Mike!, so I have to ask...your name isn't April, is it? ?
It's not! I'm a Jess...although Mike's stepmom is named April! That would have been a very funny coincidence.

Still have not weighed myself (on any scale I can trust). My waist measures 1/2 inch thicker than it did at the end of my last cleanse...but my period is supposed to start in 2 days, so I can't go by that either. My legs look nice and slender, but my face looks "saggy." :?

Congrats! Try using Vitamin C products on your face- it helps with everything, including tightening...

I even go to the gym at least 3 times a week, not to mention ride my bike for transport (hey, it's holland!)

im still hungry...well my mind is anyways. in the past couple years i got really good at cooking and i miss it and my fabulous dishes! it's difficult also when i go out (like the movies last night) or when my boyfriend cooks at home. Ive been looking up new vegan and veggie recipes in the meantime to try out once the cleanse is over...somehow it satisfies me just to look at the food. pleasure/pain!

It's really nice to come on here and read everyone's progress...it keeps me going!

Welcome, Evrae! I feel the same way about food right now. I know a lot of us watch the Food Network and Cooking Channel WAY more than usual while cleansing. It's so satisfying somehow! Good luck with your first few days! I recommend logging in here as often as possible. I even go back and read the super early posts sometimes for inspiration!

thank you everyone for your warm welcome.

yes, i do go back to read earlier posts to see what other people have been going through.

its day 8 for me, yesterday i went and bought some peppermint tea because the senna tea really hurts my tummy. plus its nice to have some other taste!

today i am going to the studio so i am not going to do the SWF, id rather not be running to the bathroom for the next 2-3 hours.

i drank the tea and i am about to start my day.

hope everyone is great....i see there are a few people from hawaii here?? i love hawaii! one of my favorite places definitely..
