Thread: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

I'm starting this detox/cleanse tomorrow and I am so excited! I have read so many threads and seen so many different responses to this cleanse, I don't know what to expect now but I do know almost anything can be expected so nothing will shock me as far as my body's reaction to it. I will be drinking my SMooth move here shortly, around 11:30p so if it takes 6 hrs to work I won't be awakened until 5:30 or 6am. I just had a question. I plan to prepare 20 oz at a time and drink that in the morning, another 20 oz. mid day and the last 20 oz. in the evening, is this a good strategy to get 60 oz. in for the day? I am doing it for the cleansing benefits and some weight loss, I weigh 138 and I wanna get to 125, I'm 5'4" so my ideal weight should be between 118-125. Look forward to some input thanks!

The end of Day 11. I'm not going to think about the days ahead. I am taking it one day at a time. Everything is pretty much a routine now. I only think about eating when I'm around others who are eating or when I make my son's plate. I am able to look at the food and appreciate it without actually tasting it. Who would have thought that you could do this and not cheat.

Last night, I dreamed that I was eating. I wasn't scared when I woke up, because I acknowledged it was a dream. I know that I wouldn't cheat, because I am so determined to succeed. This is a great feeling.

For some reason, the salt water didn't agree with my stomach this morning . I threw it up. That was a little discouraging. Any way, Day 12 for me. I am not going to let that mishap ruin my day. I am going to have a wonderful lemonade day.

    Have a great day everyone!

Day 21 MC1- A little frustrating since I'm not losing much weight on the scale. It is about to me my time of the month so that may have something to do with the weight not coming off the past few days. I even gained 2 since last week. I know this is physically impossible so I am going to plug away and keep my head up.
I decided to try on some clothes that were tight last week and they fit now so that made me feel much better.
I feel good and cannot imagine stopping next week on the 28th or 30th day like I thought I would.
I still may go for 40. I am heavily leaning towards it. If so, then I guess I am more than 1/2 way there!

First MC, I'm on my 8th day right now. Yesterday was very very hard, I suffered from insomnia and my valerian root didn't kick in, so I spent 2 hours surfing recipes online, being tortured by thoughts of food. The lemonade doesn't really satiate my hunger anymore, so I'm hoping will power will help me finish the last 3 days. I love food and eating, and I think my palate is just screaming from boredom. If anyone is out there and has been there, some words of encouragement would be welcome .

My question is that I never seen anyone start mid day before, so I was wondering do I need to go the full day last day? My last meal was the lunch on day 1, and I started the MC that night. I've been counting 1pm as the time where the next day happens.

Day 13- I ate a PB&J Sandwich today, well toasted wheat bread, I felt that my body needed it, oh well. This is my first time doing MC, I will keep doing it for as long as I can, Does this mean I can go for another 20-40 days now because I ate one Peanut butter jelly sandwich or should I treat it as if I was fasting for 13 days onward?

Actually, it means you should stop and consider yourself as having done a 13-day cleanse. Or you might go back on the lemonade for a day and then do a proper transition (as outlined in the books). Then you should wait a month or two before doing it again.

You *can* simply start right back up again, but it isn't recommended. If you do restart, you need to start counting from day 1.

But whatever you do, you should plan to transition properly when you stop. That means not jumping in to PB&J, even if it feels "right". It's still no good for your body to fast for 13 days (or however many, and it gets more critical the longer you do) and then eat something like that.

    Have fun!
